  1. Have to excuse me I’m new to the motor biking world and not much of a mechanic. Just learning Just going by things I’ve read on google I think I may have assumed that if there was no noise it would indicate the relay was not responding (correct that if I’m wrong) which is why I replaced the relay. Which still has no noise. We originally assumed “well the battery must be dead” hence the brand new battery which has since been off and charged and put back on. Literally everything on the bike will run and work just without the ability of using the electric start. My step dad has stripped the bike and run the bike and is a bit lost to what it could be. I’m a bit hesitant to using my garage as they recently done a lot of repairs after and accident and charged a lot and sent it back in a poor condition! To the point the bolts holding the wheel on where not done up properly!
  2. Wait ignore that last response I confused the relay and the motor. I will enquire later to the starter motor I believe it was checked amongst the inspection.
  3. I have put a new starter relay on. Will try a load test on the battery Thank you
  4. Yer everything but the start up is working
  5. Yes. There is absolutely no noise from the engine when pressing the electric start. It’s as if the kill switch is on (which it’s not) Only way to turn over the engine is to jump start it
  6. Thank you! I wasn’t sure what Honda is was a copy off so that alone is a massive help! I took the battery off and charged it and back on didn’t resolve I even tried taking parts of my bike and put them on my partners bike which all are working. It’s frustrating! Wasn’t sure if possibly there is a sensor somewhere I am missing ? Like in the clutch ? As far as I am aware there is no stand sensor ? I’ve looked at the kill switch as well and there is no sign of wear or tear. I think multimeter is possibly my only option! Thanks again
  7. Hi guys, hope someone might be able to help me. Recently I was riding home as normal but on a few occasions I was losing power when coming off the acceleration. I would use the electric start and regain power and continued in hope to just get the bike home. Unfortunately a few miles later I lost all power and was unable to restart the bike properly. It would come to life with the electric start but as soon as acceleration was used it would die. The bike was recovered and taken home before it was loaded up we tried to start it and the electric start would work but still unable to start the bike. When we got to my home and tried again the electric start had completely stopped working. There is no noise as if there is no response. Before the bike was taken out that day the battery was replaced due to a flat battery. I have since checked over the wiring and can find no damaged wiring. Checked all connections from the battery again no issues. I have replaced the solenoid to no luck. The bike will start if it’s jump started I just can’t use the electric start which is inconvenient since I don’t have a kick start. I believe the original issue with the engine losing power has been resolved with a filter clean etc but can not figure out what’s stopped the electric start ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
