  1. It certainly is possible... I think a few of us on here have done it. You need to know what they're looking for, so check out the test section here. The DSA also have a YouTube series about the Module 1 & Module 2 which is worth a look
  2. I've got the XR1100... it's a great fit & has great visibility, however it's quite noisy at 50+ & seems to have a massive visor! Mine came with a pinlock & the visor system is very easy to change.
  3. The first 2 letters (or letter) denote the area.. NW - North West N - North W - West SW - South West SE - South East E - East. Simples!
  4. Hein Gericke up on the Hanger Lane Gyratory is probably a good bet.
  5. If it'll turn over then that's the thing to do. Turn over repeatedly, then stop for a bit & then repeat over & over.. This should sort out the air bubble.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I think they're all the same, it's probably been pre-drilled to fit the posts or has the posts in already! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. £6k Triumph?! Lock it up in Streatham! Things like lamp posts/bike racks are fairly acceptable. I would go for the biggest-ass chain you can afford plus a disc lock (perhaps an alarmed one if the bike isn't alarmed) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I don't think it's the fact it's difficult, you just need to know when to do your observations correctly. I would be worried if you couldn't pass it after riding a geared bike on the road for a while! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'd actually suggest training... I'm lucky in that I have emergency biker friends who have given me hints & tips but I still want to do a full IAM course for the bike (got a car one). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I didn't have training for Mod1 or Mod2. It depends how confident you are on the bike & how good your highway code & riding skills are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Well done sir! You'll find you get less heads turning on the R125 without L Plates! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. It's a shame, but good in a way, as you definitely want to concentrate on controls rather than directions for the most part; save that for the independent riding bit which, incidentally, is a doddle! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. And as soon as I posted it I tried to find them & realised they'd all gone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The DSA website has a downloadable list of routes at each test centre Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. It's to do with the power output of the bike... And you'll be expected to ride on different roads. No use letting you ride a big bike if you've not ridden fast before! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Well done sir! Did you take it on the R125? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. You could do the tax online & it's then taxed all ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I take it you're 16? If so, when are you 17? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. If you find a decent company they shouldn't charge you any extra for riding a geared bike over an automatic scooter. Personally I would wait but that's because I'm an avid hater of scooters! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Have just got back from my Mod 1 which I took at the Uxbridge Centre. I got to the centre at about 13:35. Test was due at 13:50 but Trevor, the examiner, was happy to start there & then! He was really pleasant & after we completed the paperwork went outside. He checked over my R125 whilst I got 'dressed'. I'd remembered to put the bike in the bay facing forward so had a nice easy ride into the yard! It went really well, I clocked 52kph on the swerve & 54 on the Emergency Stop. Went fairly wide on the Figure 8 but that's due to the sports styling of the bike. Managed to pass first time, no minors & have my Mod2 booked for 8th Oct. Fingers crossed! 21. Standard Bike Mod 1 then 2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
