  1. Not bad. I'd like to find a car like this and dig it up.
  2. Haha the little jump off the kerb at the end was cool
  3. Run a Google search for sports tourer bikes. These generally come with full fairings (good for wind protection for you and dirt/grime protection for the bike), more comfort and they are not as "aggressive" as an out-and-out sports bike, but will still have a good amount of sportiness, ability in corners and grunt. Depending on the model, they generally are a balance of sports looks and riding feel, comfort, reliabilty and touring ability. A 600cc should be enough but some come with de-tuned 750cc engines which would be approximately the same. 1000cc would be too much I think and not necessary. I like Hondas so a CBR600F or VFR750/800 would be my initial choices, but there are plenty of equivalents from other brands.
  4. A tip from my experience, especially if you have doubts. While you are searching, ask about breakdown recovery if they offer it as an optional extra. I usually get this as it only costs a bit more and I've used it a few times when I ran out of fuel/crashed/bike broke down. I suspect (but not sure) that it would be cheaper as an add-on through your insurance company's cover, rather than a separate service from another company which is what I read people ask about. Also consider if anyone else will likely ride your bike or if you plan to take it abroad (overseas insurance cover) as sometimes these extras really are not very much at all but can be very useful. Also, sometimes if I get a few good quotes, I'll bargain down, especially if I like the company but I think they can do better with the price.
  5. Wow, this is a real classic bike and you don't see them often at all. Take good care of it, I hope the new lease of life goes well and you get to enjoy the bike soonest.
  6. Dear All, Thank you so much to all the participants. I have managed to get the minimum numbers and have closed the survey. I also ran the raffle (blind raffle) and a winner was picked and the winner has received the eGift voucher. In the end I had to run the survey over 4 online forums because it was not possible to get the minimum number of participants from only 1 or 2 or even 3 forums. It was quite a challenge, but got there in the end. In the end the winner was from another forum (link below). Unfortunately I cannot afford to give a prize for each forum. Maybe next time I can offered various, smaller gift vouchers for each forum instead of one big prize for just one winner, so that more members can benefit. Here is the link to the thread so that you can see who the happy winner is and that they received the prize as promised: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=330005&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=75 Again, a massive thank you to all that participated and for your help, patience and support. If you need anything, just let me know and I'll do my best to help. Regards, Claud.
  7. Wow, now they are going after the bikes now? By the way it's a consultation, so you can vote on this proposal (check the link at the end of the page). Or it's here: https://consultation.hackney.gov.uk/parking-services/motorcycles/consultation/intro/ "Closes 18 May 2020"
  8. Hi Guys, Thanks to the new participants! Last call, so anyone who wants to participate, please do before end of this coming Sunday (5th April) as I think I will be able to (and have to) close the survey. I'll get the raffle done and I then will leave you guys in peace I promise . Thank you for your patience, Claud.
  9. And tell him to get a year pass for the local race track Nürburgring is close?
  10. Sure... Hey brother, you need to stop riding like that or you will probably die, or worse, you could become severely handicapped and then probably you can't eat, sleep, have sex with any women, walk, dance, do painting, ride a motorbike, ride a bike, think or use your brain, work, make money, move your body, have a family, look after your family, see with your eyes, go to the toilet by yourself, clean yourself, go to the gym, use a computer, do normal things in life which you like to do (etc.) properly or maybe not at all for the rest of your life which is probably quite a few decades.
  11. Thank you to the latest participants. I literally just need a few more survey responses so please please anyone who has not done the survey yet, please do so (details and link in my first post of this thread). Over the next 7 days would be perfect. Many thanks again to you all and stay safe. Regards, Claud.
  12. I don't remember that film specifically but yeah his early films were like this and it kind of surprised me first time I watched them, but no big deal for me.
  13. Sorry, I've got no useful advice but is this 'mower turbocharged? So cool... can you fit a dump valve/up the boost?
  14. Hiya Guys, Thank you for the interesting comments. I think I can clarify some of them here, but after the survey is ended. Much information is actually in the survey itself, as it's required that participants know certain things in advance and after the test section is completed. There is still some way to go to reach the minimum number of responses which I need for this project, so for those who have not done so and would like to participate, please do take part. I really appreciate it. Also do make sure to follow the instructions in my first post to be entered for the raffle. Amazon still delivers through the quarantine and there's absolutely loads of things you can purchase on Amazon nowadays. It's likely I will have to end the survey next week sometime as time is running short with regards deadlines etc., so I'd recommend getting in early. "You have to be in it to win it" as the saying goes. As stated in the survey, if you have any questions or doubts about taking part in the survey, please message me personally and I'd be happy to clarify. Regards and stay safe, Claud.
