  1. Such a massive character, such a massive loss. RIP Marco.
  2. Both but car most as it's more convenient.
  3. I enjoy my YBR125, rode it through the winter last year and the 100mpg is amazing lol. The only thing that annoys me that isn't fixable is the crazy gear changes between 1 and 2 which occasionally includes Neutral...lol
  4. I think Imight have to do this, my CBT runs out in April and my Theory next September.... I read somewhere that I need to take my Theory again if it runs out after my CBT, is this true?
  5. Have a look at this thread fella http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 32&t=40432 I've just ordered one (two as I get one free lol), dunno how good they are but they are visual deterrant if anything...
  6. Only thing that stops me going over 6mph over the limit is either a built up area, school or average speed cameras.
  7. Insurance companies are strange to say the least... I drive an Astra VXR, quote for me on my own, 1yr n/c, 8yr licence, 0 accidents and 0 points = £900 (roughly) Quote for me and my girlfriend, she got her licence last November so she is a new driver, 0 n/c etc etc. My new quote £600. Just out of interest I got a quote for her on her own driving my VXR and it came back as £3000.
  8. I've only taken the new one for a spin so I can't comment on the older ones.... The new ones are great, i drove the FR (211bhp) and the Cupra R (265bhp) and they were bloody good to drive. I've heard they can be quite expensive to repair if anything goes wrong but I can't comment on that as I've never owned one....
  9. I don't clean it, well not yet anyway, it rains pretty much everyday in London at the moment so it will be a pointless exercise....
  10. Do the DAS and pay a big chunk off the YZF-R125 and then ride that. Just because you've passed your DAS doesn't mean you need a "big" bike straight away.
  11. Im from Sidcup and I always see alot of bikes, but they are always either "big bikes" going at Mach3 or 50cc 16 year olds in their Mckenzie Tracksuits and T-Shirts.... Would be nice to meet a few of the people on here.... I ride a 125 myself, don't know anyone in the area who rides but I know people still meet occasionally by Blackheath Tea Hut....
  12. Put them over a radiator....Not directly on one coz that would be a bit silly, but over one or infront of one is good enough for my gloves....
  13. Need a clock for my bike (so i know how late I am for work everyday) but not sure on what to get, anyone got any ideas or experiences with any??? Boring I know but I dont want to waste 20 quid on something that I can't see....
  14. I know how a lot of you feel about cheap helmets as you aren't sure whether they are safe etc etc Nitro have got 5 stars for one of their helmets and it's less than half price on GhostBikes (£44.99 down from £119.99.... http://www.ghostbikes.com/products/1220 ... elmet.html
