I bought Alpinestars Adventure goretex jacket from george white when they started end of season sale. Today I noticed that seams split just by the collar I don't think they have them in that size anymore so I can't have it replaced, I don't want my money back as I paid £99 whereas it's between 3 and 4 hundred pounds elsewhere and I won't find other goretex jacket for that price, so I thought maybe I should sew that seam? Will it be waterproof? I don't know which part of goretex jacket is the waterproof part... Is it the outside or inside? I'll visit george white on Saturday and see what they say but I thought I might as well ask here.

Do you paint using spray cans or air compressor? Also I have a givi arms for a top box (without mounting plate), a double bubble screen, and a flip screen if you are interested.

I don't know about fairing but clocks will move a little since they're mounted on rubber thingies. Like washers but much thicker...

I was terrified how bad brakes are on a TDM850 after I had the Fazer. Had a look closely and two pistons in the right caliper were seized And I haven't looked at the left one yet. Maybe that's the problem in your case. Or maybe they were not bled properly, I recall reading about Fazer calipers being a pig to bleed...

Check out rebelyell91 on youtube ( youtube.com/rebelyell91 ), he uses gopro hd as far as I know, but he records sound on a voice recorder. Or you can get a Drift HD170 which has external mic input so you don't need to sync video and audio later. Sound on all of helmet/bike cameras will be poor, unless you ride a Goldwing/Pan Euro or plug in external mic and hide it away from wind

I think it would say h.i.s.s around the ignition barrell if it had one. My dad has 06 vt125 and he doesn't have immo.

Yeah it was definitely up when I tried. If it's in neutral it starts regardless of side stand position.

I recently realized that my Fazer doesn't start in gear (with clutch pulled in of course). Instead, all lights on the dash light up Is that how it's supposed to be? There is a switch of some sort under the clutch lever which comes out when the lever is pulled in. It seems to be connected to something but I don't know where the other end of that wire goes

The first day of my DAS was below 0 and there was ice on the roads. My visor was freezing up on the outside so I had to have it open for the whole day Cold wind blowing in my eyes meant tears. Tears and cold wind and freezing temperature meant frost in corners of my eyes But it was fun. I'm not afraid of the rain. I am not made of sugar

Well as it's my second helmet I can't say I have much experience but I can compare it to my previous BOX Batman. The quality of Box was pathetic, after two months it looked like I'd crashed in it many times, and I could peel the paint with my nails. Also I thought it was pretty loud. The quality of paint on the FG-15 is great, it still looks like new after 3 months, it's not exactly quieter than the other one but the aerodynamics is definitely better. Boy the lining is so comfortable compared to Box which was rough and unpleasant really. Ventilation is good as well, I could feel the breeze when I opened the top vent and had my head shave What else, what else... You get chin curtain, nose guard/breath guard thingy, easily removable lining and two visors (clear and sligtly smoked). I think they both have pins for pinlock. You can change them in literally 5 seconds. The smoked one gets foggy easily when you're stopped but the clear one is covered with something on the inside. It even says not to clean the inside of the visor or you'll wash it off. Oh and you can lock the visor so it doesn't open when you do a shoulder check on a motorway. I never lock it and it didn't happen anyway. One not so good thing, the first "step" when you open the visor is like 2mm maybe, and the next one opens it half way. I'd like to have it open for 1cm sometimes, especially on cold day in traffic. On the other hand it's perfect when it's hot, because it gives you that gentle wind on your face. I got it from Ghostbikes so not far from you. They let me take it without the box and said the warranty is still there but if I changed my mind and didn't like I can't take it back. God I'm bad at writing reviews Maybe it'll help you in some way anyway.

Hi all. Just a quick question for people who have HJC mirrored visor. I bought one a couple months ago (HJ-09, to fit my FG-15) and the quality is just appaling. Aftere a long-ish ride once, I had load of small bugs on it, as usual, but there was also a huge one which even after few hours riding was still jelly-like, not dry. I was lazy so I didn't clean it straight away, when I did clean it the next day, a bit of mirrored layer came of together with that bug... I thought, well, my fault for not cleaning in time, but few days ago I went for a quick ride (around 80 miles), it wasn't raining and I only had small flies on the visor. I went to clean it afterwards, gently with water only and later discovered that the mirrored layer came of at the top edge completely and there are more small spots like that on the whole visor Now, when I bought it (eBay) there were only two sellers selling them, one in Hong Kong and one in England selling slightly cheaper. I went for the one closer to me but now think maybe it was not genuine? It's got all that HJC writing on the side just like my two other visors which I got with the helmet... Just wanted to know if anyone has similar experience with mirrored (HJC or other) visors?

Hi. I need to buy a speed sensor for my bike and only found one on eBay but it's for 2002 model. Mine is 1999. Any of you know if it will fit? I'm going to Yamaha tomorrow and try to buy the rotor itself which is broken. Hopefully they sell them on their own.
