We kind of get them round here too.  But the difference is, although at the weekend they all pull Willie Nelson look-a-like stunts, they're all dentists and accountants and lawyers.

The only time they get surly is when they realise they've run out of Rizlas and all the Tabacs are closed on a Sunday afternoon.

Come Monday they'll go on a rampage and overcharge their clients by five percent or give them a vicious tooth cleaning.

On Thursday night a local lad had his CBR 600 stolen from outside his house. He had passed his test 2 day previous. Just bought the bike…. Yes it wasn’t locked … it was only 11pm and he was going to lock it before he went to bed …

3 Teenage Yorkshire Scum … all dressed in black .. as usual .. wheeled it away … seen on cameras 2 miles away later still being pushed ..

Owner has been around every house with cctv in the area asking if it could be tracked …

I’ve got an Mot’d CBR 600 F sat around doing nothing , not been ridden for 12 months  … I gave him a call, offered my bike as a long term loan until he got sorted out …He thanked me .. lots … but when he saw the pictures…. He offered more than the bike owed me …. It’s his now…

But … there’s an awful lot of us bikers within 2 miles of his house, some serious back patch club members … allegedly …… those 3 scrotes are on borrowed time … It would be best for everyone if the bike was just found parked up at the local shopping precinct in the morning …

Just bought a Suzuki GSXR1300R 01 reg, needs repairs as seller had a crash on it and has been garaged for 6 years.

Any advice on main checks prior to doing any work or do’s and dont’s would be appreciated. No leaks on bike, no visible damage to frame. The seller did start the bike after the fall and ride home.

Went for a ride out with Connor ( Aprillia Tuono 125 ) and Molly on my pillon. Into the Peaks then down my favourite short thrash … Derne Valley Parkway… from Junction 36 M1 to Junction 37 A1M at Doncaster this stretch of road has roundabouts every 2 - 3 miles and is great for cranking the bike over under power. One of the roundabouts is bowl shaped, you have to pop over the lip on the way out eastbound …. 
Dropped into J&S Doncaster… Connor needed to buy something …???   I now have a Cardo Intercom ….. …. Connor’s fed up with trying to work out where we’re going and what lane I’m about to switch out of to head a totally new direction without the use of indicators …

I baulked at fitting it to my Arai so it’s installed in my LS2 helmet …

The next ride should be fun ………. …..

Washed the 400 + miles of grime off the bike from last Mondays big ride ( for me ) .... off to Morrisons to jet wash the thick deposits of chainlube off the suspension linkages and chain side wheel rim .... such fun ..... oil change when i get home ....

Family loved the AirTag…. They logged in to see where I was half a dozen times …. When home I handed the AirTag back and installed an AirTag detection app on my phone ..

Went for a ride out today. Set off at 0545hrs.

Rotherham, Beverley, Scarborough, Whitby, Middlesbrough, Newcastle on Tyne, Carlisle, Penrith, Keswick, Kendal, Skipton, Weatherby, Doncaster, back home.

Poured with rain as far as Middlesbrough then mostly cleared up …

Fantastic ride out … had an Apple AirTag in my bag so wife and family could see where I was … worked well.

433 miles on the odometer….. I’ll take that …10 hours 15 mins in the saddle ….

Great day out ..£36 in fuel with 2 bars left on the gauge and £5.90 for a Greggs lunch at Southwaite services ..

Any local shop that sells plastic model kits (airfix etc) will have super fine filler for use on the models they sell .

My grandson calls the V- Strom the “HGV” …. I call his Aprilla Tuono “ The Toy” …. 

What a beautiful day, warm and dry …. Off we went to the beach … well, Cleethorpes.

It was packed! Prom car park full, people wandering up and down the beach .. no one having a paddle … as the water is about half a mile away at low tide ….

Even the pier fish and chip shop was busy , cafes all open and seaside tat shops doing trade … I’m baffled …..

163 miles, mostly M and A roads and a tootal around b roads at the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds …

First day this year without handlebar heaters being used …Huzaah !!!

UK banks facilitate scams on a daily basis … I’ve not been a victim but my company has … 

Doubt it … during banking hours transfer a sum of monies to your wife … within 2 hours call your bank and recall the payment ….. it’s that easy …..

J&S at Doncaster has a nice cafe and a good crowd at weekends … CMC  at Clay Cross has a busy cafe even during the week …..

My bike was stolen and recovered after the police followed the drunken rider, without helmet , for 6 miles before he crashed it into a driveway … he ran away but the officers knew who it was …

My bike was written off and I was paid £670 for it …. I bought the scrap bike for £125 from the insurance company and replaced the ignition switch from my stock of spares …  since I’d only paid £400 for the bike off eBay …. I’d made a profit …… ish …..

He went to court and I was awarded £500 in damages .. which he paid at the court ..

I’m considering this as a business model ….

I rode my V Strom for 6 months, including a trip to the TT, without a valid MOT … we only realised because my grandson did a dvla check using his phone to test the software …. Oops 

I’ve cut potatoes, rice and pasta plus biscuits and most sweet things …. 4 months later … 3 stone lighter and all my motorcycle kit fits better than ever …

That was a short ride ….

We’ve been ill for a fortnight … all 3 of us … not man flu, not Covid, not a cold,  not Flu,  not the plague… but definitely some combination….

I was determined to get some miles in today …. Warm sunny dry day ….

20 miles in my chest is cold and the coughing starts …. At 25 miles my stomach starts heaving ……

I got home just in time to remove the armour and get to the toilet …..

Has anyone got a single bike trailer I can hire to get my 1999 Honda CBR 600 from work in Chesterfield back to Rotherham … happy to pay a decent day rate and collect from Sheffield, Doncaster, Derby areas ….. it will be on our company insurance…
