  1. some images self explanatory. The engine was rebuilt piece by piece and so the frame, swingarm and many missiny accesories. The frame was bended and in bad condition so i teared it all apart and rebuilt many parts of it. The clutch gasket was adapted and bolted to the gear, its from a RX100. Lots of stuff, all handcrafted.
  2. So yeah i am restoring this Yamaha GTMX80 and want to share the progress. I never get around to write a starting post, but this one will have to be. I am also trying to make a series of videos in which i showcase the process. The youtuber like theme is just for the heck of it. My idea is to share the development with guys alike around the world: (wish i could embedd videos smaller than this)
  3. I´m not mocking you! I had a suit, you saw it, now it´s covered with mud... :D BTW guys i´m back, i want to create a thread to show the restoration process of my bike, but it´s just i have so much content, i dont know where to start or how much of it showing without looking like a "flowder".
  4. Hello! Thanks for the welcome! I´m just a shed bug, which spends most of his free time restoring an old japanese motorbike. With primitive methods and tools but lots of passion to compensate. Joined in the look of other minds alike, with which discuss the technical approachs of a project like this. Hopefully this is the right place! Didn´t join a forum in ages, but I do miss them a lot. No social media or discord-thing nails the timing required for this kind of knowledge trade, IMO A little pic of the engine in its rebuilding process.
