    Screens

MRA make really nice screens. Not sure if they do one for your bike
  2. Hate sounding like a grumpy old tw@t but I steer clear of biker cafes. I like riding bikes but can't abide standing around in a car park talking about rearsets and tyres
  3. You could maybe try some of these. They really stick to your gloves. Means you don't need to grip hold of the bar as much. https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/renthal-road-race-grips-240989/ Used to be the first thing I'd replace when getting a new bike.
  4. I don't know who's told you that but I suspect that the person who did might also tell you that the covid vaccine contains nanobots designed to allow the government to control your bowel movements. There are plenty of low-seat bikes around and no restrictions on rider height.
  5. Thanks everyone. Some very useful feedback. I've never done any touring at all so I don't have a clue.
  6. I was going to take a compass The phone idea was more to stop and consult it if I got a bit lost.
  7. It wasn't just to save space. I should've been a bit clearer on that I watched a video that Neevesy at MCN put up about motorcycle touring and he advised to forget the satnav. He seemed to suggest that they just got in the way and you just end up slavishly following the nav's directions rather than feeling like you're exploring. And that they frequently cause arguments because they contradict what you can see on signposts. I'd just be touring in the UK and in Europe. The video in question....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNNlVuZF0CE
  8. Does anyone forego the satnav when touring and just use a map? I'm hoping to have my first go at touring this year and I'd like to pack as light as possible (I understand that's half the battle) so I'd rather not bother with a satnav. I figured I can always check the maps on my phone if the map and signposts aren't enough.
