Take it on a moped mate, it's alot easier than a geared bike, get the basic's learnt and then teach yourself to ride a geared bike. Heff

I read the topic on buying clothing and read that leathers are not as warm as textiles but how much difference is there? Is it alot? Or isit when riding motorway speeds? I am asking because I am really liking the look of RST Fusion 2 piece suit, I know there not as waterproof but I am getting a waterproof over suit anyway but if they are really cold then I won't bother. How much should you spend on each clothing item? (jacket,helmet,trousers etc) I was thinking something like £200 Helmet, £100-150 jacket and trousers per item that is, £150 boots, £100 gloves. What is your budget per item if you have? Heff

I'm going to be getting a new bike in a few weeks and I'm buying another chain so I will have two, and having an alarm fitted. Just make sure it's an alarm that is accepted by your insurance and make sure the chains are big, thick and are armoured chains so that they meet your insurance standards and keep your bike secured. Heff

Ok so I'm going to be getting a new bike a 125 and I've got some textile leathers already but the pants are s*** I wore them today in a thunder storm and go soaked through. I need a good reliable pair of pants that will keep me dry in the worst of weathers but they also need to be light and not make me too hot because I live in Manchester and the weather is constantly changing by the 10mins haha. I also need a new pair of gloves, thick but I can still safely operate the bike and as water proof as possible any suggestions? Is Scott a good brand? I have a Scott jacket that held up great in the terential rain and thunder storm today we had, is it work changing it? or should i just keep with it because I know it can survive bad weather? Heff
