    Which engine oil??

I use Castrol.....solely because its red....at least until its been heated up a few times.
  5. My money's on coils....or you filled up with diesel
  6. Nor do they in mine, i've found both Infinity and hein gericke will order in for you on sale or return so at least you can try them on 1st.... If I remember J and S would order but if it didn't fit you were fuggered...may have changed tho. Just gutted the A* supertech's don't come in a 14
  7. Pretty sure Bandits are locknut anyways, not shims ..piece of piddle to do..
  8. Try a bicycle unit, should run off a magnet on your front wheel.
  9. Bit of pipe = link pipe. Simply a case of remove the bolts securing the old can and link pipe and replacing with the new one, make sure new can isn't rubbing on the swingarm, and link pipe doesn't interferre with rear brake operation . You'll need spanners and poss allen keys, shouldn't take long (30 mins) , you may need a new seal that joints the link pipe to headers (about a tenner if memory serves) or make good with firegum .

    spark plug socket

Did the plugs on my GSXR with just a standard socket....then thin nose pliers to lift the plug out. Plug sockets not essential (but does make life easier)

    Brake advice

No help on the Haynes manual, but I if you need a hand give us a shout
  12. Haha, ways and means eh? I traded choice of baby's name for my GSXR1000!
  13. pants! I'm working this weekend...next time perhaps.
  14. I've found 'knox' will fit most..but best bet is to go to your local shop and see what fits..you could also look at getting a back protector that straps to you rather than sits in your jacket...I got one a few months back after years of using the standard 'sit in your jacket' type and wouldn't be without it now.
  15. had mine for over a year now, need a new pair as the soles almost worn out, they're nice boots, not the warmest in the height of winter, but good nonetheless. You can get large calves in them comfortably...not like some alpinestars which i could barely do up If you can get them for just over a 100 quid or less than you should be laughing.
  16. Nice route, thankyou very much Looks like we'll both be setting off from the Old Dean then
  17. Not sure how much over you can go, I used to use a top box but ended up with it coming off on the motorway....an expensive day that was, laptop, camera, glasses.....squished. epic fail.
  18. Like this: http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/shop/prod ... ts_id/5361 For anything heavier than a shower, you may want an oversuit though
  19. VANS:::: for £60.00 you should be able to get something half decent (unless you've got freakishly large feet like me and so choice is limited to top names), Go to a shop and try them on, then you'll know they fit properly.
  20. To a point there's some degree of paying a premium for a name, but then i have alpinestars leathers and they're Best bet is to try them on, feel the quality of them, and choose whether the extra is worth it to you..
  21. I'd think more will end up mounted on walls as expensive ornaments rather than being used on a bike
  22. If I had a spare couple of grand lying around I would.......good job I haven't and therefore won't..
