  1. Sounds like there's summin wrong with my valves, the thing is I might just sell it and get a 125, but don't want to sell it if its gonna give the next owner, Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-2
  2. Guys its been ages, I kind of gave up biking after my mate died, but have now decided to start again, I have a thundercat, it wasnt starting, so took it to the mechanic, he fixed it, said there was water in my floats, or something about water being trapped and so my bike wasn't starting, anyway he said it could be dangerous if the water got into my engine, etc etc, so I start the bike up and it sounds completely messed, it had a really steady vroooooomm, but now its more like a tractor on steroids, anyhow my mechanic acted as if it was normal, ( he isn't official, just has this as a part time thing he does from home) as I drove it home, it seemed okay-ish, I couldnt tell if there was a lack of power. But it sounds really weird, nd I can't get my phone to pick up the noise or I would have put it up, just freaked out that I ain't done any valve damage?? Help!!
  3. hi guys, just another perspective on my problem, because I couldn't find the root cause, what could cause the engine to cut when throttle is applied?
  4. Thanks Colin, so clean plugs, change choke cable, then if all is not well, do the carbs!
  5. Thanks a LOT guys! Dont have any garages near me so you guys keep me going,
  6. Sorry I didn't mean that in an offensive way, so if it is sticking it needs oil? Also realized there's a kink in the choke cable which doesnt move the choke as it should,
  7. Right I've got a haynes on the way, I'm thinking it's a blocked carb due to hesitation @ 3k revs, hhmm that's my weekend gone then.
  8. I know the chokes a problem but apart from being a little weird I doubt it could altogether stop my bike from working?
  9. If it does stick on, what would happen? I know that the choke has been playing up, but it works, it gives a little higher revs when activated, although if I keep in in the fully on position it doesn't stop going higher up the rev range, as in it just keeps going higher and higher.
  10. It's been out in damp cold conditions (my cover got nicked ) so it could be why, never fully ran out of fuel...
  11. I had an air filter from before, I've not touched it.
  12. If the jets get clogged, or the carbs get to a point where they stop your bike working, what symptoms should you expect? What would happen? Asking caus I think mine are blocked! 
  13. See if you could find a blue flame eve mate, sounds meaty at idle and frikkin roars!!! Or the old art can (which is big) not the newish thin one on eBay
