  1. i have one of these covers. they bolt into the ground so there should be no problem with wind. mine's been standing since last November, even through some nasty nasty winds. only thing is, they aren't too waterproof in a real torrential downpour
  2. awww man! thought you were gonna take it back to black! nice job you've done so far though
  3. shame you didn't post this sooner really, saw one going for £350 a couple of weeks ago.
  4. FZR is a lovely bike, it's what I've got. Did feel a bit nervous getting it as a first bike after my test, but the only problems I've had were of my own making.
  5. now im buying one with an alarm, i set off today with it still connected but i was lucky for once as i was only pushing the bike and stopped in time Be careful, don't rely on the alarm. by the time you pull away, it could still just be beeping before the main alarm
  6. there are some chinese copies on ebay for about £30, not sure what they're like though
  7. the lidl stuff's a weekly special though. should be able to get something cheap enough though. not sure on the examiners guidlines, but as long as you've put some thought into it, i.e thick jeans and good strong boots (watch your laces) as opposed to shellsuit and trainers, can't see the problem really. know the school i went to had loan jackets, as well as the usaual gloves and helmets. so that should help if you can use theirs
  8. good thing with Scotland is, you can camp anywhere. legally.
  9. might be able to make that one. defffo not making it on the 2nd september. heading to Edinburgh for my birthday
  10. Apart from the Scots, since the "middle" of the UK is north of Hadrians Wall, a small fact often overlooked by those south of the border. Apparently. just around where i live i know that on the old political maps, the north east basically does not exist
  11. so we need 3 rallies a year then. 1 northern, 1 southern, and 1 in the midlands somewhere. then everyone's happy. except the poor sods organizing everything
  12. i used to listen to rock to help me sleep. weird thing is the heavier and louder i had it, the quicker i fell asleep
  13. never expected anything up here really. but somewhere a bit further north would be nice
  14. some of the roads up here and around the borders are fantastic. Probably a bit too far north to be effective though

    Rally photos

if only your friends can see your pics, none of us who aren't on your FB would be able to see them. unless you put them on the TMBF FB page of course

  18. And wet. you'll be fine. did my CBT in the rain and it was the first time I'd been on a bike. Where you doing it?
  19. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll165/scanty81/Tattoo.jpg As I found it and just after I had it Done http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll165/scanty81/tatt.jpg
  20. I've been looking for a mirrored sun visor for my Caberg for a little while now, only to find out that nowhere sells them now (including the company that took my cash then took best part of a week to refund it), so I'm leaning towards an iridium one now. Only thing is it's £35, and for an extra £10 I can buy a helmet that comes with an iridium visor and a clear one. Not 100% decided on what I'm gonna do yet, so was wondering if anyone's tried the viper rs33? Cheap helmet, but decent? I know it's got a 4 star rating but that's about it. Heading to a local suppliers tomorrow I think to try one on
  21. Triple post! anyone had any reliable experience with suction mounts at, shall we say, Motorway Speeds?
  22. just an update- i've been bidding on a drift x170, auction ended and sold to someone else for £87. now i got a second chance notice and the guys offering me one for the £80 i originally bid. shame i spent half the cash just after the auction ended. thinking of going on the cadge to get some cash as it seems a good price, considering the next cheapest was £91 with £8 delivery. from the same seller. who's charging £3.95 delivery for the other 1
