  1. Maybe it,s running abit rich, take the plugs out, they should be a nice tan colour,
  2. Check that the choke isn,t sticking on,also that the air filter isn,t filthy, would cause it to run rich good luck
  3. you could get a datatool snitcher, 3 wire fitting, sensitivity can be adjusted, if the bike is touched you get an immediate text message to your mobile,so you can catch them in the act and have a word with,em, if your miles away or abroad the bike can be traced by G.P.S. via the snitcher,s on board sim card,..
  4. I could be up for this, live in the bromley area, hopefully the rain,s gone by the W/End,will keep an eye on this thread,...Bob
  5. Had a similar problem with an old Fireblade, would start with a booster pack but not on its own, even though the battery was o.k. ,...the starter was replaced problem cured, seems it was knackerd and needed alot of current to turn it over ......worth a check..
  6. You,ve got a problem with the driver,s door, the drivers door is operated from the key fob, thats why it locks and unlocks ,....lock the drivers door manually ,then use the key fob the other doors will then lock ok ,,...when you get a chance have the drivers door looked at ,could be a solenoid or linkage has come off,
  7. I just coat it with Grease, chain lube should be ok,...
  8. Fantastic........ Keep it going hun and stop saying IF it's WHEN you get to your goal only you can do it Keep it up hun and have fun with it Ragger's xxx P.S Good size on ya there bob - I also agree with GazzyG That is some hard work and allot of gym time! Im opposite to you I had a problem growing up a fat bitch lol Been working on building muscle for a fair few years now but i still battle with the fat thing no matter what i eat i still see the fat reacuring but i handle it quite well - I do still have abit of bulk but i am very happy with my weight and size now just maintaning it now kind of. I can not get to big muscle wise because i also need to be quite flexable because I Also train MMA and Submission wrestling so does help to have abit of bulkiness with me Take care Ragger's xx Thanks for all the good comments,I hope you all reach your goals ,cheers Bob,...
  9. Thank you .....I bought a file then flatterned 2 edges then found a really nifty molegrip that was flat nosed and managed to get the bloomin thing out !! The fileing as you suggest was the only thing that really worked as it was bolted into rubber before the engine and heat not really an option I,m glad it worked
  10. Get a file and file 2 flat edges on the bolt, then an open ended spanner, should do the trick,..
  11. Well done mate, keep at it,sometimes the body gets used to a regime, and you have to trick it into responding, losing or gaining weight is all about input versus output,if more calories are consumed than you expend in energy losing weight will be harder but everyone has a different metabolism ,(use it or lose it)
  12. I was very strict to start with,as regards eating etc,but soon learnt that that regime was counter productive to gaining size ,and was more to be used for cutting up for competitions ,basically I would eat anything that wasn,t nailed down lol,...sunday dinner was a whole chicken on one plate and veg on another, musthave driven my missus mad,me and my training partner would come out of the gym all pumped up,and go and sink a couple of pints and play pool,i was lucky to have good genetics and metabolism ,everyone,s different..at 50yrs I was doing 5 sets of 5 reps with 306lbs in the bench press and could blow up a hot water bottle,...oh well age gets to us all .... Bob,...
  13. You put in a lot of work there, Bob. Those are some big lats! I've only been lifting hard for a year now and I'm a powerlifter not a bodybuilder, but I know hard work when I see it. Great stuff. Thanks mate, haven,t trained now for 15 yrs still got a decent shape for a 67yr old ,I remember the madness of it all even training on xmas day, good days good training buddies ,.....
  14. Squats .Benchpress.deadlift.....then more squats....the key to a good foundation,..and bulking up combined with good wholesome grub,...and more important than all of that is plenty of recuperation time ....
  15. Hello mate have sent you a pm,..cheers Bob,...
  16. I had the problem of being a skinny kid, grew up like it,too much energy etc...took up bodybuilding in my 30,s trained 4 times a week ate properly etc ..I,m 67 now still not bad for my age, here,s a picture of me when i was 47 yrs young, was still training into my 50,s, the old bones ache too much now so the only exercise now is the bike..... http://i679.photobucket.com/albums/vv157/Bob442009/MobilePhonePictures192.jpg

  18. Might be going to Newlands corner myself,If I go I,ll be on a Red R1 55plate,come and say hello,... Bob,...
  19. It wont make much differance ,unless you fit a full system and a free flowing airfilter, but it should be abit noisier,
  20. Take the reading from the battery, the black lead goes to negative-the red to positive,...hold the leads onto the battery note the reading, start the bike the reading should go up to at least 14volts if you rev it,if it dosen,t you may need a new regulator,or even a stator, take the bike to get the charging system checked,if you,re not sure,...
  21. Had Corsa 111,s on my bike ,good tyres, but didn,t trust them in the wet, then went to B.T.016,s,brilliant tyres ,..got another bike recently, which came home with Michellin power pures,so far no complaints....
  22. Bob R1

    what oil?

Stick to the 10/40 in the bike, dont use car oil in the bike it has additives that could make your clutch slip
  23. Tomorrow Saturday,s supposed to be decent weather, might pop down the Oakdene cafe Wrotham for a cuppa, anyone about?
  24. I had the same problem on an early R1 ,did most of the checks you,re doing, when the temp.got to about 80 degrees water came out of the overflow pipe,..the problem was the Rad cap,I replaced it and problem solved,...hope this helps
