  2. Yes I guess I am quite lucky. Always lived near the bridge. Oh well, maybe next time! Perfect weather for it today though
  3. I'll be at Devil's tomorrow (20th) Who's nearby and out? Come say Hi and maybe have a blast to Hawes
  4. I took it to a local garage, ill call tomorrow to ask them, because I have no clue how to deal with brakes, or most things for that matter!
  5. Wouldnt that be done during pad replacement?
  6. Hey all, I just got new brake pads fitted, the rear wheel turns freely but the front is hard to turn as the pads rub. After some riding I assume the pads will wear in? Or should it run freely like the rear? Thanks.
  7. Im out and about whenever the sun has his hat on. Can find me at devils bridge most Sundays if its sunny ^___^
  8. I live in Carnforth, I am always at Devils, welcome to join me.
  9. I measured and it appears to be the same on both sides. Shall I just tighten it and forget about it? I am sure it wont adjust the chain at all as the spindle bolts are tight.
  10. Hey, I did read other posts about this but they were for a different Bike, so I wonder if I could ask for some assitance The lock nut adjuster bolt on the exhaust side appears to be in the same position as the other side, but is loose. When I tighten it, it is out of sync with the other side which is tight. Do I tighten it, or leave it in the position I found it? Will it stay in position if I leave it loose? I had a friend who is a Honda mechanic do an oil change recently, we didn't look at this area but he said my change was in good condition. Loose side:- https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=A9138C3642C36C2E!459&authkey=!ADEENjkk7B9T_YY Tight side:- https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=A9138C3642C36C2E!461&authkey=!AOdWXABL1w19vkU Thanks.

  12. I am interested in hitting Scotland, never been on the Bike (I know ) I would need a guide to show me the best routes etc, and best place to stay. Any takers? I have weeks off in May, July, and Sept. Other than that I will be out for rides in my local area on my days off.

    Fuel

There seems to be a lot of debate over this, maybe I should start a poll

    Fuel

Well I already store the bike inside, now I just need to muster up the will to ride in this rubbish weather.

    Fuel

Haha thats good to know. Okay, Ill not bother starting her until Spring. She can hibernate and dream about the road like I do, well rested for embracing next Summer!

    Fuel

Thanks guys, think I'll leave it. The bike is stored indoors. What are your thoughts of starting her up once a week to keep the fluids optimal? Once spring comes, I will be taking her for a pre season service, also the exhaust is wobbling at the downpipe join, so need to get a bracket on that. Honda can do it, as they fitted the downpipes I cannot wait for Winter to go away!

    Fuel

Looks like I am not riding until Spring now, but still a bit of fuel in the bike. Is it safe to leave it, or will I need to drain it, if so how? I trickle charge the battery once a week or so to maintain condition, other than that not sure what else to do, usually just leave it and its fine again in Spring. Thanks.
  18. Thanks everyone Wont be riding today though, weather is rubbish

    Coolant

There is more than one place? In the main reservoir under the seat on the right hand side, with upper and lower limits...

    Coolant

I cannot see my coolant level. I tried rocking the bike slightly on centre stand and nothing, if anything it looks empty? But no problems with the bike temp, steady 80 degrees most the time, in traffic creeps over 100 and the fan kicks in. Any ideas? Should I top it up or do I have to flush it out, if so how? Thanks.
  22. I live in Carnforth, I am at Devils Bridge whenever it is dry and I am off work
  23. I nod always, most nod back, those that don't I tend not to care so much. SOMETIMES I accidentally nod at Moped's... I try not to Nod at Chav's, because they are muppets, hard to tell sometimes unless you see the trackies...
