  1. I ask a genuine question and I read that crap. Way to go fellas. Yet according to some on here I’m the troll. Righto.
  2. Is your cover like the photo above or a cover that still shows the bottom of the wheels of your bike?
  3. I’ve read online that in the winter a cover isn’t good enough because of rain and moisture. The reason is that the cover doesn’t cover all of the bike so the moisture will cause rust inevitably irrespective of any anti-corrosion spray one uses on his or her bike. I’ve been watching people making DIY sheds so the bike is covered in bad weather. Would a shed or a garage provide anymore cover for a bike than the cover below?
  4. Does anyone store his/her bike outside? What about rust and other damage to your bike? Obviously not everyone can keep his/her bike inside of his/her house and not everyone owns a garage or a shed.
  5. When have I ever claimed to have ridden a bike? You’re either misunderstanding my arguments or deliberately misconstruing my arguments. I have never said that the tests are “easy”, I just stated that I don’t think there’s anything particularly difficult.
  6. So it’s fine for people to mock me and insult me, but I can’t give it back, is that what you think? Give me a break. I am not saying that its “easy” to get your bike license, but I don’t think there’s anything particularly difficult to do in the Module 1 test. Do you? I’ll be doing my CBT at the back end of next month.
  7. That’s my point. Nerves can get the better of anyone. What did you get minors for fella? Did you find Mod 2 easier?
  8. You can move the bike from the bay you stopped in to the other bay in no particular order. What did you find difficult about the slalom? IIRC the cones are 4.5m apart from each other! You can take the figures of eight as wide as you want. 6 or 7 hours for Mod 1????? I have never seen that on any training schools websites.
  9. Are you using the fallacious argument of argument ad populum? Tut-tut. Just because the majority of people think a certain way does not mean it’s true. I feed the birds in my local park on a daily basis mate.
  10. What was it about the slalom that made you find it “surprisingly difficult”? Did you struggle with the control aspect of it? Or, was it something to do with where to look or how wide to turn?
  11. You should really stop with the accusation of me being a troll. It’s ad nauseam. I could have used the same ad hominem for the in my opinion lunatics who claimed there wasn’t really a problem with someone passing his test and getting one of the fastest superbikes in the world straightaway. I don’t need to have ridden a motorbike. I have watched loads of videos on YouTube and I’ve looked online at various training schools and they offer courses with only a couple of hours or at the most a few (3 or 4) hours and that includes a mock test for training for Module 1. People fall Module 1 because their nerves get the better of them and they do silly things like put their foot down, hit a cone, etc. There’s nothing in the Module 1 test that strikes me as even remotely difficult. The two white lines to do a u-turn are more than enough apart to do one fairly easily… you look where you want to go and your bike will go there; throttle control, clutch control and rear brake control if necessary and one shouldn’t have any problems. The slalom isn’t difficult at all, the cones are miles apart and again it’s just all about control. Ditto for the figures of eight. Ditto for the slow speed control. I know that people are different and some people pick things up quicker than other people, but that doesn’t mean any part of the test is difficult.
  12. Well yeah because it’s like a car driving test it is different for everyone, but there must be an average amount of hours for the average rider. Module 1 doesn’t seem too different from what is covered during a CBT. I have read that the easiest way to pass Module 2 is to treat the examiner as a sat nav. What about the independent riding section? Doesn’t that slightly differ from the so-called routes?
  13. Why is it deceptive? Apart from the speed bit, some of the things you do on a 125cc bike during your CBT and it’s easier to do the things on a bigger bike because you are more stable. For the slalom the cones are more than enough apart from each other, it is not difficult to do figures of 8 and again the space for the u-turn is more than enough. What’s the problem?
  14. Does it really make much of a difference to know the routes that are local to a test centre for Module 2? Surely the examiners don’t take people on the same routes so is there any actual point? What are the advantages?
  15. Yes, I understand that everyone is different. But, what do training schools normally recommend? From what I have seen on YouTube the Module 1 doesn’t really look that difficult, but rather a kind of drilling session in the training sessions and then the test.
  16. Thanks everyone for thinking about me whilst I have been absent from this forum for a few days. I have been busy growing some rhubarb, cooking some rice pudding (with skin on the top of it) and feeding the birds in the local park. Take care everyone.
  17. Bender, I must inform you that you are a great, supine, protoplasmic invertebrate jelly! You are thick as pig shit. When are you going to make me some jam sandwiches?
