  1. Hi All Hope you are all okay! Over the winter I have serviced the bike etc and changed the indicators. The indicators are not LED nor where they before, but now they flash too fast! I also noticed by number plate light was flashing also but not in any particular sequence. Has anyone else had this issue or something similar?

    LED

hi getting new indicators as mine are knackered. Led indicators look good and I am just wondering would o need a different relay for them as they dont need the current the standard ones require? bike is bandit mk1
  4. hi all...bandit again. changed carbs as the old ones were knackered. but the problem following occured more so with old carbs. when I rev the engine the rpm doesnt drop as it should. ..infact its more the needle doesnt drop at the rate the engine does. the cables are a bit sticky anyway. ..I jave to close the throttle otherwise it sticks at whatever rpm you're on. when fitted new carbs...started bike and the rpm dropped as soon as the throttle closed...however the engine cut because idle rpm too low...adjusted this and it ticked over at 1300 but the rpm doesnt decrease as as fast as before. any advice? hope this makes sense
  5. Just to let you know...i have read numerous forums regarding the KN filters and unless you are going to throw money at the machine for new jets its a no go....especiialy on the 600 bandit! Dynojet stage three is the recommended set up with the KN single cone filters. I have purchased a second hand airbox after some bartering and a stock airfilter...My bike is on the mend. Fitted the new Carbs (built one good set from 2 faulty sets) and the bandit started first time after being sat for 8 weeks..bearing in mind its a mk1. Onto the cosmetics now...does anyone know an alternative to renthals? Cheers

hi this is for a mate 2001 bandit. ..had an accident at 10mph. ..just a few scrapes. been left for 4 weeks bur was ridden in winter weather. anyway he has come to start it and it jusy clicks. ..dowsnt turn over. ..tried jumo starting and its kicked a little but no start and then with a different battery it clicked again. any ideas to what ot could be? worked perfectly before winter. had to uncease his petrol cap and seat switch. tried with another battery it tried turning but stupidly slow until battery died and it went to clicking again.
  10. cheers for the response. ...could be new airbox then. took airbox off be because it was cracked and only saw kn when searching for airbox. bike running very wooly so ive changed carbs. ..and plugs. ..there anything else it could be cheers

    Bandit RPM

Hi All Sorting a few bits on bandit. One other thing i noticed is the rpm takes a long time to come down. i rev the engine and it doesnt return to idle as quick as it should. also after riding for a bit...i could be sat at the traffic lights and the engine is idling at a higher count than normal... Any ideas?
  13. I wouldnt worry about it...nerves hit everyone especially before a test! Trust me though on your test you will be concentrating that much that it lasts 2 minutes! Enjoy
  14. Well done...feels great doesnt it! You got a bike lined up?

    Seat recover

'Noon everyone! How hard is it to recover a bike seat? i am guessing some replies will state how long is a piece of string. There is nothing fancy about the seat so i cant see it being very hard but what are your experiences? Cheers
