On modern tyres we lose around 20% grip. Keep everything smooth and it is still safe to make progress. Biggest problem is visibility, especially if you wear glasses. Just get yourself booked onto a 3 or 4 day A2 course starting on your 17th birthday. School should have prebooked tests so no stress there. Also, should you fail either module, you still have time for a retest.

MattB I agree 100% about the teaching qualification. I did a basic C&G 7303 qualification a couple of years ago and it has helped. Most instructors don't seem interested in furthering their knowledge either, which is why the DSA are making noises about making CPD compulsory. I gained a Diploma in Motorcycle Instruction in May. Cost a fair amount in lost wages, hotels and the course cost but well worth it - even if only being able to put DipMI after my name

Unprofessional things like this should always be reported to the DSA. They might not be able to do anything with just 1 complaint but if the folder gets thick enough they will have to investigate. [email protected] drop these guys an email.

On a Green Provisional Licence all the categories that apply are on the reverse. If you have a Full licence in any Category then the licence is Pink with the full categories on the reverse. On the paperpart under Provisional Entitlements will be listed the categories that you will be termed 'a learner' If you passed your bike test previously you should have a pink licence. Are you sure that you actually posted off your pass Certificate to the DVLA?

I'm with the go around the speed humps either L or r dependant on traffic. Should there be an obstruction on the left and an on coming vehicle then if it is safe go over. It is all Awareness and Planning

Hopp Rider Training do track training days at Cadwell Park. Done a couple myself and can highly recommend them.

You first need to do Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). Then you would need to do a Theory and Hazard Perception Test (bike related). Then you can do a DAS course (Direct Access Scheme) on completion of which would enable you to ride any bike that takes your fancy
