  1. We'd have given his son a house and a big telly and told him not to stay out too late...
  2. Live and let Die - Guns 'n' Roses (of course)
  3. Personally I approve of anything that lessens the chance of these idiotic cretins getting back into power. Of course, since AV was voted against by the population, hard to see how things would be very much better under the other lot in this two ass race. Starting to think the majority of this country deserve everything they get.
  4. Yep, she'll be on the for sale section when I can upload the latest pics :'( New sparks, filters, Storm2 Ultras, Goodridge lines. Also remus & oem can, oem full fairing, oem radiator covers, oem luggage rack, heated grips, MET3 alarm & clean as a whistle. And this mod here. http://fazerowners.yuku.com/topic/32681 ... 3R04uXXqSo Sorry, done hijacking now...
  5. [shameless plug] Yes! Yes you should! I have a 15k Gen 1 Thou with goodies for sale once I've taxed it
  6. Ho boy there is a BIG difference between a CBT and a full test. Consider a 3 day DAS course or get ready for a big disappointment... I don't mean to be a dick but you've only scratched the surface, fellah.
  7. So after a bit of research, a new pressure fuel hose is £71.92 Ouch. When hose and ends would cost less than £15. And I have the ends on the old hose. So I'm talking less than a fiver for a hose, and clamp the old banjos to it... The system runs at 4 bar. Anyone ever made a pressure hose like that?
  8. IMHO kevlar jeans are crap. The knee armour doesn't sit right at all. No use in a crash and uncomfortable to walk in. Each to their own though. Maybe you can find some with straps to lock it in place. Dunno, but I consider my red routes (plus armour) a waste of £115... Any use? Hein Gericke stuff is the kitten's mittens. From their latest email "Alternatively, visit us online this week and save 10% by using discount code*: HG10 "
  9. Splendid. I wonder if I can get braid in red? I like red...
  10. What a fool I have been! You are absolutely right. I was too quick to assume the hose with the cut off / diconnector was the fuel in. What I have is a fuel preasure hose, and assuming it IS ruptured, a very good reason for the symptoms! Time to grab a mille hayes manual and get serious. Does anyone have any experiencing making these up and any tips? Components seem readily available... OEM is £71.72!!!!
  11. EDIT - so after a bit of research, a new pressure fuel hose is £71.92 Ouch. When hose and ends would cost less than £15. And I have the ends on the old hose. So I'm talking less than a fiver for a hose, and clamp the old banjos to it... The system runs at 4 bar. Anyone ever made a pressure hose like that? The Fuel return hose on my Falco (same Rotax 60. V2 lump as Mille & Turono) might need replacing. The bike tries to start, but cuts out after half a second or so. After that, she won't fire at all unless I leave her alone for a while. Sounds like a fueling issue to me - the air is clear, and I have replaced both spark plugs in each cylinder. Unlike the fuel line, the return hose is braided. The outer cladding is ripped up in a few places, and getting my snout in there smells a lot like fresh petrol. I am mind-bogglingly broke. Anyone know if I can get away with making a new return hose using banjos, clamps and normal fuel hosing? Thanks for all the help, no bike in this weather is killing me! CvB
  12. You can't make someone else be happy by making yourself unhappy. They'll work it out and it will all fall apart. I am now 4 months out of a 10 year relationship. I love my ex very much and I can not describe the heartbreak. I simply do not know the words. It started similar to where you are now. I didn't want to hurt this lovely interesting girl just because she was only 98% perfect. And oh boy did she grow on me over the years. But there was always something in me broken, questioning if I was actually happy and my motives for doing... well ANYTHING, really. It doesn't matter if your girlfriend IS a hot French scientist who has been your best friend for 10 years. Once the demon's in your head, it will never go, and it will f**k things up, and you won't know how you felt or why you felt it until it is all gone. *cough* Anyway. You have two options. Be straight now and feel like a bast*rd- but trust a 30 year old- 18 year old girls have a lot of living to do and boys to snog in clubs- She'll be just fine. Cut all ties, don't try to be friends. Doesn't work. Just get her somewhere where she has a good escape route, friends at hand if possible, and be honest. Keep it short. Good luck. Or get ready for the worst two human beings can feel, because one day, it will get you both. Which one is kinder?
  13. Exactly right. I'm very happy with mine, stainless, clean weld. I don't mind the look, maybe the casual Rozzer will see the baffle and move on (and not look at the faint "Race use only" that's not quite polished out I didn't have to do anything to mine, the deep bass is still there. It's like... before I was being hit in the ear drum with a 100 tonnes of rocks, now it's a 100 tonne douvet. And for the price, you canna go wrong... let us know how you get on!
  14. I have a Falco (1000cc v twin, two cans) with mahoosively open cans in which the packing gave up the ghost ages ago. Whilst a LOT of fun, at 92db at idle it was a bit over the top. I got some of these (link below) and they have helped a lot, I still get the Rotax 60° V-Twin Thunder Rumble, but it's much softer at idle. Just get the right angle and dia.
