  1. £5.10 an hour? Isn't that less than national minimum wage and therefore illegal??
  2. I was wondering, how much on average do they cost? Are they easy to install or is it worth paying to have it fitted? I'm a fairly technical minded guy so I wouldn't mind giving it a go if it came with instructions...
  3. It's kind of an easy one for me since I work on specialist security sites (like hospitals and train stations) so err let's see. Stopped a woman being kidnapped, pinned down a woman for an hour and a half drenched in my own sweat in severe back pain because if I let go she'd grab the knife sticking out of her stomach and end herself (I did that one for £6.39 an hour) stopped nursing staff from being battered, assisted in the arrests of numerous scrotes, cut a bloke down from trying to hang himself, stopped a 15 year old from injecting a dirty used needle into his own arm which was filled with someone else's blood. That's all I can remember for now. Pays the bills
  4. Thanks for the advice guys. Things seem to be getting better in time. Awesome vid but is it me or the whole time manoeuvres the bike he seems to keep his upper body upright?
  5. Hey guys bare in mind that its only a 125 but if you do a quick google of lexmoto arizona you'll see that its quite a cruiser style bike. I'm having trouble wrestling it around corners yet the guy a bought it from (whom is a friend) said he could maneuver it like a push bike no problem. I find myself almost crossing the other side of the road when turning left out of a junction. I was already aware that cruisers were designed to go in straight lines and are the worst bikes for corners but im not talking country lanes and tight turns im talking low speed around town stuff, i just find it impossible to point in the right direction. Bare in mind that I've only been riding a week. I did my CBT on a Honda CG125 which was much more forgiving and of course my trainer taught me how to handle that specific bike which doesn't help much. A guy i know who rides mentioned that he had to change is riding style when going on cruisers and said he didn't lean with the bike when banking instead he stuck his hips out but tried to keep his body upright. I haven't tried it yet because i dont really know the guy well enough to know if he's talking from his nether regions. Even if you guys point me in the direction of some good sites/vids on handling, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Well i say just, it was actually last Thursday but I only just got time to write about it. Before I begin, up until the CBT i had never ridden or sat on a motorbike in my life, i do however drive and have done for 5 years with no claims, so road theory is fine. I found the first part the hardest, when on the trainers compound, you're very cramped and it takes time for you to think about what your doing yet you're forever worrying about running out of space, plus out of 3 of us the other 2 were just renewing theirs which didn't help my confidence. All in all i was fairly happy with how it was going, just trying to stay positive and not let my mistakes wind me up. After some theory and a lunch break the ride out was so much easier, finally it gave me chance to enjoy myself. I literally got my certificate, got dropped off at my friends house and bought his Lexmoto Arizona off him, i was already insured on it as of the day before so i got to ride off straight away. Since then I've found out fairly quickly and painfully that the CBT is just a pebble in a very big pond, you learn next to sod all about riding on it, it really is BASIC training, i simply cannot believe they let 17 year old's with no previous road experience or theory knowledge do a CBT then just jump on a geared motorbike. After 3 days i managed to wipe out on a roundabout in the rain (no damage other than a bruised ego) and there's many occasions where i find myself thinking i could have done things better. It would seem i have allot to learn about riding a bike before i even think about going near MOD 1 and 2, i have until next spring mind.
  7. Grr *grumble grumble* hate theory. Passed first time like. I just hate revising.
  8. howdy, quick question: If I've already passed my theory once to get my driving license 5 years ago, do i still have to do my theory before i can take my tests for full bike license? If so thats pretty damn lame and does the bike theory include the hazard perception AGAIN....
