  1. Some of us visit, but only post when they see a topic worth posting in.
  2. I don't think it was '2016' I think they all just died. Sad but true. He was a genius, massively under rated. One of the best song writers this country has seen.
  3. All the above. Plus-have you got more confident, so you are now cornering harder without realising. Most bikes reach a point where it all loosens up a bit. Usually, just before you fall off. apart from my CX500 which was 5degrees from vertical.
  4. Sorry, if you are used to brit stuff, you know how to do this. Only issue on mine was carb top/bottom screws seized up, need a decent screwdriver pref jis.
  5. I had one of these, fantastic bikes! They have heating water running through the carbs, if there is a leak, that would make the spindle seize up. Best bet, get them off, soak them all in wd40 or similar, then strip them down and clean everything., DO NOT separate the carbs from each other, top and bottoms off, all the brass jets out, cleaned with carb cleaner and replaced, spray carb cleaner through the holes while they are out. Check float heights. Manual is golden.
  6. Happy to have a look for you. If I can't do it I can recommend an excellent garage locally.
  7. From my experience shooting and mountain biking, Yellow glasses were always used for low light situations as they increase contrast. I think they are the opposite to what you want.
  8. Corrected for you, don't worry about thanking me. It's basically lego in a VR world if you think about it.
  9. Not at the moment, I figure this will be a post-Xmas splurge...unless Santa reckons I've been good. But cheers Well, give me a shout, it's sitting in the shed.
  10. I bought one last year for a bit of spraying, very similar to the one on the screwfix link and I have never used it. Interested?
  11. http://classified-moto.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/141003_CM6741_frontangle.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Just sayin.
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122161137272?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; New link.
  13. This is still for sale. I realise it's the wrong time of year to be selling, I'll take offers if anyone is interested. Oh, need to update the ebay link.
  14. I have drilled several sets, very easy and if its ok for manufacturers its ok for me. Cut the nubbins and the switchgear will always move around.
  15. Hi peeps. Bit sad about it, but it's done a couple of hundred miles since last MOT as I am now racing dinghys 3 times a week so don't have time to ride. That's also why I am not around on here much, not much internet in the middle of the reservoir! I think I am ok putting an Ebay link to the ad with details? I have put it high with offers because you always get stupid offers on ebay, realistically I want 1500 for it. It's completely solid, everything needed has been done. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122125631875" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;? ... 1555.l2649 Thanks Matt Now sold thanks.
  16. If you come up to my neck of the woods (Newport), there are a load of brilliant roads up around usk, raglan, monmouth, chepstow and on up to hereford.
  17. This is a direct quoye from a friend of mine, I think he's spot on! 'The EU is a long, long way from being perfect and we will get shafted either way. However, I honestly believe that we will get shafted harder and with less lube without it.'
  18. ooooo where's a 'like' button when you need it! Well said.
  19. A few people have mentioned the Balkans as if they are a problem for people saying the European parliament has stopped war in Europe. Am I missing something? I was pretty sure Yugoslavia was not part of the European Union? Correct me if I am wrong. It's taken me ages to decide, but I have finally come down on the remain side for various reasons. I have problems with the way the EU parliament works, the bureoucracy, the ridiculous amounts of money it costs etc etc etc, but I think there are bigger things at stake. I can see the whole thing collapsing which would be pretty catastrophic. I am very worried by the right wing elements in countries like France that are on the verge of coming to power. There's loads of reasons, but I guess you know them. Sick of the politicians being full of crap on tv this whole debate is nothing to do with immigration, it is totally irrelevant to the referendum. It is about the fundamentals of democracy.
  20. This is what I get up to in my spare time. "> " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  21. Nope, you reach a stage where you have most things, then it's just the odd thing you need if you change vehicle and it needs something special.
  22. WOOOOP!!! That's worth a welcome back post! Hope to see you soon matey.
  23. I have tried various height screens on a few bikes, bubble screens etc. My own personal experience is they don't make any difference. At speed, unless you are directly behind a screen you won't feel any difference. On faired bikes, I have had bubble screens and found going back to a lower standard screen to give much less turbulence at speed. The big manufacturers spend millions on development in wind tunnels etc, and standard screens often work well. Some chinese company puts a bubble screen on the market and it can mess up the bikes handling. Just my own opinion but I have experienced this with various screens. The difference was night and day on my Fazer 1, it was horrible with a bubble.
