  1. http://c8.staticflickr.com/9/8837/28272924423_64e3e80b0e_o.jpg Here are mines, I have front one mounted using RAM B mounts, the rear one is mounted on the rack handle using its original GoPro style mounts. Both are SJCAM SJ4000. Sometimes I turn the rear one to shot towards the front - you get nice footage. Note there are a lot of fake SJCAMs. Original SJCAMs has the word SJCAM printed on the camera front plus verification code. Both are powered by the bike in dashcam mode. I have drilled a holes with solder iron through the cases to plug the USB power permanently then sealed with a little silicone around. DYI waterproof and never get them off the bike. You can buy these fairly cheap models: SJ4000 SJ4000 wifi SJ4000+ - better resolution and anti-shake sensor M10 - note you can't drill a hole for usb power in the case of that one cause the locking mechanism obstructs the port M20

    Short levers

    +1 for the cheap and cheerful Chinese ones. The best £17 ever spent for my Fazer LOL. I have them for almost a year and have test crashed them they are fine.
  3. When not at work I try to be active and spend my time doing something valuable, for example: "> " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I was looking at stamp collecting, but it seems a too hard work for now... What do you do?
  4. the problem with time is I am the same person just the face looking at me in the mirror is getting foreign LOL
  5. Good write up What if you are out of ideas and stuck at point 1 like me?
  6. How big a hole? Do they see it from satalite? Do i need to line it with tin foil? Can the google car still picture it? Here you have everything needed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGomFcV4E6E Note: you can use any car pre-1950s the Chevrolet is just an example k?
  7. Do you mean your google activity search history? https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity?hl=en-GB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; That is designed to help you. So that you can see results relevant to you and your previous searches on all your devices like phones, different laptops etc. If you are concerned about government tracking everybody you probably has lived in a cave the last 10 years. I have a bad news for you. They do. The UK is the worst spying foc off privacy country on earth ever. The only way you can prevent that is to burn all your electric devices, dig a hole and hide there. Problem solved
  8. Personally I would: Snowfoam - ok Rinse Apply a degreaser prob use autoglym motorcycle cleaner - I will not mess with degreaser just buy paraffin (kerosene) from B&Q or diesel fuel from any petrol station - this is the cheapest and the best for the chain cleaning too. And a chain cleaner can anyone recommend a good one ? If you feel rich instead of kerosene/diesel use specialised cleaners Wurth is a good one. I also buy pack these of 6 for £16 Hycote Brake Part Cleaner 6 X 600ml Spray Canand this cleans very good both brakes and the chain. Rub in Rinse Shampoo autoglym Polish autoglym srp Wax not sure looking for a good one Chain lube can anyone recommend one ? IMO Wurth dry chain lube is the best, avoid the white dry one like Fuchs it makes proper mess with white gunk all over your bike, unless you like to repeat the cleaning again, do not ask me how I know Glass polish headlight, dials, etc autoglym glass polish Black plastic work chain guard etc auto glym bumper care Then Heard of Scottoiler FS365 for protecting bodywork eg front forks is it any good ? How does that all sound That sounds like overkill though I have to ask do you intend to actually ride that bike after
  9. you need to try the fit, go to J&S New Malden shop and try few models, they stock A*. Having said that better option is to go to Harper's, they do custom fit and produce high quality UK made leathers: http://www.harpers.eu/cat13_1.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  10. I will go with bike mount. IMO helmet mount is not safe, you are ruining the helmet and what if you change the helmet too?
  11. I have test rode Yamaha Tracer 900 today. No photos taken so here is a stock one: http://www.ignitionlive.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Yamaha-1-4.jpg Bar position and seat it is very similar to BMW 1000XR. Again you have the feeling you are riding very good sofa. I am 6 foot and there is plenty of room. The pegs are very comfty with more than enough leg room. I was expecting the seat to feels higher. It is not. For that type of bike it feels lower then the BMW S1000XR position. I like that. On XR you are just too high. Compared to MT10 pegs looks lower. On a sharp bends you have the feeling you may scrap some pegs. It has similar to MT10 traction control. Again STD mode was my preffered one with smootest power delivery. Does not have quickshifter. The bike feels very light. Not MT10 light, but for a such big bike it is very light. This bike will be great tourer. On the motorway it does 70 mph at 4500 rpm in 6th gear. Having said that this is too high geared for my taste. Because it is not very great on the traffic lights gran prix. Nothing that 1 tooth less in the front sprocket can't sort out. Fairing is very good. Apart from the fact that sends all the wind in my helmet which makes more wind noise. Again if you plan to do any motorway probably you must wear ear plugs anyway. It has ginormous handle bar wind shields. That will make winter riding more pleasant. One small problem London filtering. The shields plus the bar ends make it too wide. Suspension is very good. It is firm. Not MT10 firm though. The seat is hard but comfortable. Better than MT10 for sure. Now the engine. Something is missing here. Probably one cylinder. Everything else seems right. The engine pulls very good. The bike has more than enough power. Still for some reason this engine does not makes me happy. FYI I had same feeling when I rode Triumph 800 XrX. I suspect its personal between me and triples. The problem is I have the feeling that I ride a sewing machine. It has all the right pulls when I use the throttle. The sound coming from it is just uncanny. Also the pull of the engine is not exactly the same as inline fours when you do higher revs. There is kind of hesitation to go high revs. The main reason why I probably will not get a tripple engined bike. Some people may like it. In summary this is one very capable bike, great value for money. Not my cup of tea though. There was no MT10 effect here, because MT10 was much more uncomfortable after two hour my bum was sore on its hard seat. But I was still smiling after it I am afraid not much smiles here for me. Final rating: 1. Handling & steering - MT10, S1000R, XR, Fazer, 900 Tracer, 1200RS 2. Engine and power delivery - MT10, S1000R, XR, Fazer, 900 Tracer, RS - note obviously the 1200RS and 900 Tracer both has more power than the Fazer I just do not like the engines (RS twin and Tracer tripple) for my riding style. 3. Seat and position - Fazer, seat XR, 1000R, position 1000R beats XR for me, 900 Tracer, 1200RS, last one is still MT10. 4. Look - draw for all from the front look, side look - 1000R, XR, RS, 900 Tracer, Fazer, MT10. 5. Sound - S1000R, MT10, Fazer, 1200RS, 900 Tracer, XR - note I am not a fan of low rumbling Harley style sound. For you it may be the RS. S1000R has really nice sound in high revs. MT10 in STD mode sound is good, switch to A mode and its get ugly you get the impression nuts and bolts will be flying any moment. 6. Fun factor - MT10 is the winner hands down. Than follow closely S1000R, XR, RS, RR, Fazer and last here is 900 Tracer. I am afraid even the old Fazer puts more smile for me than the new 900 Tracer. The final conclusion - I am still keeping the Fazer. Still fast and sharp enough when needed and does 50 mpg and comfty. If you want a bike for long touring you need the XR. If you need fun and track days get MT10. I am temped by S1000RR as short commuter/fun bike too. MT10 in some tourer faired version with better seat is probably the bike I will like the most. The only problem is Yamaha is not doing it yet...
  12. I do have tried MT 10 today too: http://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7308/28073800211_4a31b3dc0d_k.jpg http://c1.staticflickr.com/8/7342/28048297512_5757b58b2c_h.jpg Obviously it will not win beauty contest. Having said that my wife likes it Position is way, I mean way way way forward. You can get used to it. I am 6 foot and there is plenty of room. The pegs are very comfty with more than enough leg room. In fact more leg room than the Fazer. The gears are better than all BMWs. Does not have quickshifter. Actually MT10 do gears better without quickshifter than the BMWs with quickshifter. Enough said. The best engine so far. On paper S1000R and MT10 are almost identical as power 160hp and weight fuelled 210kg. For some reason MT10 feels much lighter bike. Probably because of the forward position. It feels and rides as one very powerful supermoto. The engine also feels with more power. It may have more low torque I have no idea but the engine of the MT10 is the best. As in BMWs I have to say I have not used the 6th too much. Yamaha is doing 95mph in second gear and three digits in 3rd. And when in A mode this bike is insane. I don't do wheelies if I can. In A mode you are practically riding most of the time on one wheel. The most useful for public streets is standard mode STD. Like S1000R the Yamaha moves with the speed of your thoughts without been intimidating and you are always in control. The throttle is perfect and the power is delivered in a smooth and predictable way. I mean in STD mode. MT10 feels sharper than S1000R. And you can ride it faster easier. Again surpisingly for me on the motorway without fairing it does better speeds than the Fazer with less wind. Or at least that is how I feel it. I mean there is wind, but because the bike has better engine and more power, somehow motorway speeds are easier. You can change direction any time in the bend left or right and it just goes there. Again my abilities are way off what that bike can do. Brakes are much more than you will ever need. Always smooth and progressive if you need it. Brakes are coming straight from flagship Yamaha R1. Suspension is the best. It is firm. Bear in mind this is a sport bike disquised as a supermoto. No surprise here, suspension too coming straight from flagship Yamaha R1. Firm suspension is what you need with that power delivery. Now the bad: the seat. I mean the Yamaha MT10 seat is seriously bad (hard). Like a brick of wood. Note about the seat. It actually fits the overall bike. It is hard but that is good, because with this bike and this strong brakes and this firm suspension, and this powerful engine, and the speeds you can do with, actually you need this hard seat to be always in control and not slide around because of various g forces. The truth is MT10 is a hardcore sport bike that needs to be ridden hard and needs this seat. I have been two hours on it and now my bumm is sore and hurts. But I am still smiling Final rating: 1. Handling & steering - MT10, S1000R, XR, Fazer, RS 2. Engine and power delivery - MT10, S1000R, XR, Fazer, RS - note obviously the RS has more power than the Fazer I just do not like the engine for my riding. 3. Seat and position - Fazer, seat XR, 1000R, position 1000R beats XR for me, RS, last one is MT10 now. 4. Look - draw for all from the front look, side look - 1000R, XR, RS, Fazer, MT10 - again no surprise here MT 10 is eriously ugly bike from any point. And daiglo wheels? I rest my case. 5. Sound - S1000R, MT10, Fazer, RS, XR - note I am not a fan of low rumbling Harley style sound. For you it may be the RS. S1000R has really nice sound in high revs. MT10 in STD mode sound is good, switch to A mode and its get ugly you get the impression nuts and bolts will be flying any moment. 6. Fun factor - MT10 is the winner hands down. Than follow closely S1000R, XR, RS, RR and finally the good old Fazer. The final conclusion - I am still keeping the Fazer. Still fast enough when needed and does 50 mpg and comfty. If you want a bike for long touring you need the XR. If you need fun and track days get MT10. I am temped by S1000RR as short commuter/fun bike too. MT10 in some tourer faired version with better seat is probably the bike I will like the most. The only problem is Yamaha is not doing it yet...
  13. I will come this time. Any of both days is fine with me
  14. Update: Just test rode S1000R today too. We have a winner. It is the bike I like the most from all BMWs so far. The bike I rode was S1000R Sport with all extras except cruise control. Position is way forward in to the tank and the front wheel. You can get used to it. The gears are better than XR. Because the engine has good pull you can ride it basically in any gear. I have to say I have not used the 6th too much again as in XR. Honestly 3rd is all you ever need to stay legal. Like XR the S1000R moves with the speed of your thoughts without been intimidating and you are always in control. I have used TC on, ABS on, the Dynamic Pro settings for the engine and Dynamic settings for the suspension. S1000R is sharper than XR. And you can ride it faster easier. Surpisingly for me on the motorway without fairing it does better speeds than the Fazer with less wind. Or at least that is how I feel it. I mean there is wind, but because the bike has better engine somehow it is easier. IMO S1000R feels sharper than S1000RR too. I know it shouldn't be, but it feels that way to me. If you order them it will be RS is like a boat compared to others, than Fazer is sharper, the XR is very sharp, the RR is better and finally the S1000R is like knife in a butter. You can change direction any time in the bend left or right and it just goes there. My abilities are way off what that bike can do . Just happy The only think I do not like too much is the seat. It is nice seat for one or two hour rides. But it is very thin. getting back to the Fazer was like sitting in a sofa. Final rating: 1. Handling steering - 1000R, XR, Fazer, RS 2. Engine and power delivery - 1000R, XR, Fazer, RS - note obviously the RS has more power than the Fazer I just do not like the engine for my riding. 3. Seat and position - Fazer, seat XR, 1000R, posution 1000R beats Xr for me, last one is still the RS. 4. Look - draw for all from the front look, side look - 1000R, XR, RS, Fazer - no surprise here good old Fazer looks ugly sidewise. 5. Sound - 1000R, Fazer, RS, XR - note I am not a fan of low rumbling Harley style sound. For you it may be the RS. 1000R has really nice sound in high revs. The final conclusion I may get one S1000R, but will still keep the Fazer for short touring and winter hack/commute. If you want a bike for long touring you need the XR. Still I have not find complete Fazer replacement - I mean bike that can do kind of sporty rides, but also to be able to touring and to do bad weather/commute. I mean if I have to have only one bike I will keep the Fazer for now. Or seat upgrade for the S1000R and a new screen may do the trick? http://c7.staticflickr.com/8/7288/27442653414_abfa6ed5d0_h.jpg http://c8.staticflickr.com/8/7466/28056276135_2f9247d71d_h.jpg The main thing which I like towards BMWs is the IL4 engine. I know most people like BMWs for the famous boxer twin. For some reason it is not my cup of tea. Too much torque and less fun. Of course it depends on your definition of fun. Mine is high revving IL4 I have high hopes on the new MT10 in some faired version like Tracer 1000? We'll wait and see.
  15. I am afraid this cannot work this. Lets say you pass the test and than you pass the mod 1 and 2. How do you expect to have your new A category in your license? You need UK license for this. DVLA can't update the EU one and they will give you an UK one only as exchange. Its catch 22.
  16. OMG here what I have found today on the inter web: Comparision of EU Referendum Local Results 2016 vs. Mad Cow Disease Outbreak Areas 1992 However, it would be a mistake to jump to conclusions. http://i63.tinypic.com/9thoqd.jpg

  20. calm down people the market has spoken, the pounds is going up - we all know what that means Check it in real time here: https://www.dailyfx.com/gbp-usd" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I am going to Tesco now to buy the Tesco finest* Vintage Champagne Grand Cru, better ready than sorry
  21. I bough mine Lontan pants from spanish site here: https://www.motocard.com/en/pants-2/dainese-lontan_fore_tex_nero_631.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Note although they accepts returns you need to pay for the extra shipping so carefull with sizing. I wear UK 42 formal pants. Lontan pants I have are size EU 56 which is UK 46 and aretight fit for me. These guys have good discounts too: http://www.fc-moto.de/Scott-Distinct-1-Pro-GT-Pant" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; https://www.fc-moto.de/epages/fcm.sf/sec387bd410af/?ObjectID=22903527&ViewAction=ViewProduct" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  22. None of the above. When it says having a waterproof Liner means that the outer textile which is on the outside of the liner will get soaked with water. Still it will be waterpoof, but heavy as hell and will need 1 day to dry after heavy rain ride. Look for textiles that say laminated/membrane Gore-tex only if you are serious about waterpoof textiles. You see the word liner is no good. Laminated Gore-Tex was called previously Gore-tex Pro. Now they just say membrane. Say Scott Distinct 1 Gore-Tex Jacket and Scott Distinct 1 Pro GT Pants. Or Dainese Stradon/Atlantik jackets. Dainese Lontan pants. Laminated Gore-tex is expensive. Look for sales. I bought Lontan pants for £200. It depends. For me is very important. I want to know the textile has been tested for tear and abrassion and the seams will not burst. Although EN 1621.1 is an armor standard which means the textile and the seams has not been tested. EN 13595 is the textile testing standard and it has 2 test levels, Level 1 and Level 2. Level 2 giving a higher level of protection. Ideally it must say EN 13595 Level 2 Approved. Not tested or certified Tested: Usually means that the manufacturer tested the garment sample or samples in their own facility to meet (possibly) certain standards. But the sample may not have been sent to a certified testing facility for the official testing procedures. Certified: Garment samples were tested at a certified testing facility and may have passed specific tests in one or more zones. Approved: To be "CE Approved", multiple samples of the garment must have been tested by a certified facility and certified to meet or exceed the relevant standards in all zones.
  23. I have 1 piece waterpoof. Never used it. To be honest on on short ride I prefer to get wet. ^^^ This. I have leathers. And I have waterpoof textiles. The problem is they accumulate water in the outer shell. Hence I bought Gore-tex laminated textile pants. Still looking for laminated jacket.
  24. Since we are doing the best EU referendum jokes, here is what I heard on LBC radio: Can't stop laughing
