I know I've asked this before, but have lost the info on my old laptop!

Can anyone tell me where I can find a side stand to fit my 06 plate YBR? I seem to remember a universal side stand that comes in 3 different sizes & I have Googed this, but the fixing doesn't look like it would work on the bracket on my bike :?

Can't seem to find one that will fit!

Also, if I fit one I'm assuming it won't be wired up to a cut-out switch. Would the bike then fail the MOT?

Susie, i found you the last one, and no you dont need a side stand switch for the MOT..i'll have another look round.. lol

thanks for taking the time to look Simon, but the fixing point on my bike is not tubular. It's a flat plate, with 2 bolt holes. Not sure if they're both for bolts or if 1 is for the spring to hook into.

I'll take a photo when it's light outside

didn't notice (until now..) that the YBR doesnt have a cradle frame, and therefore unable to take the clamp on type..

Breakers Yard??

I know - it's a bloody pain in the butt!!

Why have a fixing plate on the bike when they don't sell anything to bolt to it!!

Thanks for trying Simon - I think I might get in touch with the bike school that I did my CBT with. All their YBR's had side stands and they were newer than my bike! Must've got them from somewhere!

i'm led to believe that the 07/08 model has one, and will fit... just try and get one, you know what dealers are like...

ohh and the electrics are ready for the switch too...

Yeah - asked bike shop to source & fit one when they did my MOT and was told 'yes, no problem'

When Rennie took the bike they said they couldn't get one!
