Rucksack ideas

Hi, The other day I seen a guy with a rucksack and a nice compartment underneath the bag for his helmet. I cant seem to find it anywhere online! Im going to be taking a bike to uni every now and then (hour trip either way) so it needs to be waterproof with a decent amount of room in. I prefer the idea of having the helmet underneath the bag as my bag at the moment is full enough without having a helmet on the front too lol

Are there any bags that you guys/girls can recommend please?

I have a kriega r25 and it is simply the best rucksack i have ever used - but no lid sack!

You can get sperate lid bags - a bit like a gymbag thing?

have you seen the Knox sixpack rucksack..

it has an elasticated affair to hold your lid in place..

or you could try the Cargo range, they have the lid lugger..

Frankie there has posted what you need, that Knox 6 Pack is brilliant. I have one here.

You can put your helmet in the webbing provided for it on the front and you also get a free waterproof helmet bag to put your helmet in, works a treat.

It also has a padded laptop bag that slides inside at the back of the bag which is very handy. It says it can fit a 15" laptop in it but I have had both my 15" and my 17" in there, not at the same time of course but it will take a 17" just about! I wore mine on a long ride a few months ago and I almost forgotten I had it on, it was that comfortable.

There is a spare visor pouch that velcro's to the inside bottom of the bag, handy if you have a dark visor and a clear one to change over if you need to.

Shop around though, you will not get one for much less than what the asking price is but some places are giving away a free bike toolkit and a bike first aid kit too.

• Helmet carrier. On reaching the destination, put the helmet into the water-resistant helmet bag supplied with the SixPack, then fit it under the expandable helmet carrier on the back of the rucksack, so it can be carried safely and securely. (NB the helmet-carrying feature is not designed for use when riding).
