So was fed up today and just got off my arse and went out on the bike.

Being a shy person I find it quite difficult at times, but anyhoo, enough of my mental problems.

So headed out to Strathaven (A726), down to Muirkirk (B743)and stopped for a ciggie.

From there went down to Cumnock (A70)where I pulled over and fired an off the cuff text to your man Daz, as I was then planning on heading by his way.

Didn't wait for the reply and just headed that way anyway.

Got to Sanquar and pulled over to see if he had texted back, and he had, but he wasn't available.

From there headed to what really is one of my favourite roads (A702), however it is quite easy to enjoy, and when firing along it I forgot to remember to pull over to take a pic.

When I rememberred, I pulled over, had a cereal bar and a ciggie and took a few photos.

Went further along the road and stopped again to take another few photos just before Elvanfoot.

From there I jumped onto the M74 for a couple of miles, then came off onto the where I headed towards Douglas (B7078), then to Lanark (A70 to A73), through Carluke, back onto the A8, down the Bellshill bypass and back up the East Kilbride expressway.

Nice wee run out and back in time to see some of the bike racing.

Sounds a nice little jolly for you!

Hope we have some decent weather left for some more rides before Christmas!

Take it easy,

Cheers mate.

Pictures don't really do the roads or the scenery justice.

Just when you are on those roads, you really don't want to stop.

Before the first ones, the road goes twisting round the side of the hills with the valley below.

The latter ones, it's pretty flat mostly, but twists all the way along to the M74.

nice pics, made me smile thinking of my time there :D

Not sure I'd like to give it ten tenths on those single track A roads though

But when Scottish roads are good they're excellent 8-)

ahhhh makes sense then!

pics 2 and 3 reminded me of the A roads in the Highlands.
