first time doing chain and sprocket change do i need any special tools to get the smaller sprocket of because it doesnt look like any sockit i have will fit it.thanks.

a torque wrench would be a must.....or give your local garage a ring you might be surprised how little it costs for someone else to do it

allen keys to get the cover off and then a big socket (32mm??) a big breaker bar, and a length of scaffold pole... or better still a rattle gun.. best off taking it to a garage, i couldn't shift mine, also you'll need a chain breaker and riveter....


(now i have access to a garage and tools, so next time will have another go, without having to fork out for more tools......)

an impact gun is the way forward i have just removed a front sprocket off mine with the engine sat on a bench yes it was in gear but no plugs in so still easy to turn but it came off with no effort 8-)


breaking the chain is easy a grinder can soon sort that out rivveting it is a different matter and is best done properly with the correct tools
