Guest Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Hey all,I'm not sure if i'm being a bit dim here but....I'm narrowing down an intermittent ignition / running fault and want to replace one of the coils, however, the coils i've looked at, don't seem to have the spark plug sockets attached.Am i seeing that correctly? if so, i have no probs fitting it, but where do i get a new plug socket from? ThanksSteve Quote
Guest Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 if you are looking at the coils there will be a thick black wire (more depending on engine..) with plug caps on the end, if you cannot see any of these, then look for the plug and work back.. a picture might help me tell you what you are looking at...and whats the bike?if you didn't have a cap the problem wouldn't be intermittent but terminal, no spark... Guest Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 lol, sorry didn't explain myself very well ! The coils i've looked at on the internet to buy don't seem to have the plug caps fitted. The ones on the bike are fitted...that would be one hell of a fault lol! It's a CM125C by the way, but contrary to every thing i've read, it has two coils fitted that look the same as the ones on a CB125TSteve Quote
Guest Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 you can get plug caps /sockets from any motor accessory shop.. check inside as some are larger than others, they just screw on, (wind them onto the HT lead) just get the right type, straight/ 90' / 45' http://motors-parts.shop.ebay.co.uk/i.h ... acat=14780 Quote
