:? What?

Early ZXR750's have a belt driven alternator (generator) and the belt on mine needs tensioning,I was wondering if anyone on here knew how to adjust it as when the bike is running the belt squeals when the headlights are switched on for the first couple of miles,so it needs adjusting.

could be more adjustment with (B) as theres elongated holes on the brackets too, but © reminds me of the adjustment on my car, so most obvious..

hope you get sorted, a squealing Kwak isn't a good thing...

I thought it was a wind up. You live and learn. Never come across a belt driven alternator on a bike. Can't tell from the diagram what type of belt it is however a lot of belts squeal due to xs wear. Probably a good idea to replace it if adjusting it doesn't sort the problem. Remember to not put too much tension on the belt as this can cause premature bearing failure. 8-)

Me too Colin, i put BELT??? then went to CMS for a pic, and lo and behold a belt, couldn't believe it, looks like a PITA to replace though...
