Guest Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Well, as per the recent "Helmet Retailers" thread by my mate Edgey, we went down to J&S in Northwich on friday. I tried on all the XXLs and just couldn't get them on! We got the guy over, he found me one (JUST ONE!) that i could get on, felt a bit tight still, but suppose it should do as its new. Anyways, its a Marushin lid, and the guy told me that they make the biggest lids below £100, he says the only manufacturers to make 3XL, are Shoei. Is this correct? BTW, the helmet i found is a Marushin Samura black/blue XXL. I looked for the helmet on the J&S website and it doesnt exist! So i looked on eBay, couldn't find the exact one, but found these, and im not sure if i should risk it or not, they say they wont accept returns for health and safety reasons, and i'm not looking to waste £60-£100.These are what i like;http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MARUSHIN-STORM-HE ... 439ab35397http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MARUSHIN-TIGER-WH ... 439ab38fd8If anyone has any ideas, please shout out! I have my CBT on saturday (the 7th) and they might not have a helmet that fits i think Which would obviously be devastating. Quote
Colin the Bear Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Vemar and certain AGV helmets fit my 64cm dome. Quote

Scores the max 5 stars on the Sharp test http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/search/results/?sort=manufacturer&dir=asc&manufacturer=28&model=a729965cfe73fa0a7b4c1fcc32aed706&type=0&rating=0&size=0&price=0&x=25&y=2So it should be safe enough. http://www.youtube.com/marushintv Quote
Guest Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Thanks Bogof, but i was talking more about risking the waste of money if it arrives and doesnt fit. I cant be arsed driving all the way up to J&S again to buy the exact one lols, would rather buy online, just annoying i can't find the exact one! Quote
Colin the Bear Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 My advice would be toNever buy a helmet without trying it on. Quote
