The Jade Mongoose Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Hi everyone, Me and Simon have decided to have a little ride out to obtain some winter gloves, so here's the plan.Meetup @ Rayrigg Motors petrol station in Bowness at a time to be confirmed (musn't be too early as to preclude the consumption of bacon butties).Initial route will be up through the lakes, eventually making our way to Heine Gericke in Carlisle, then back to Penrith somehow, either A6 or if we're feeling adventurous, over Hartside. Then probably back to Devils via Sedburgh on this really nice back road we found the other week.Anyway, finer details can be finely fine tuned and finalised later, anyone interested? And which day can ya do?(If it's 90mph winds and lashing down, it goes without saying that we're not going, in which case, anyone up for a pub lunch? ) Quote
Guest Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I'd like to say i could do sunday, but i'm gettin leathered on saturday for my birthday, so I might not wake up sober! Quote
The Jade Mongoose Posted November 16, 2009 Author Posted November 16, 2009 Sounds like a plan! Have a good one and good luck with the mod 1 Quote
wiggleit Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Either day for me unless we go down to NEC....Will make a decision in next couple of days Quote
2fast2soon Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 If noobs on dangerously fast bikes are allowed then I might have a go at this, as long as the weather isn't trying to make more lakes for holiday makers to visit. Oh and morning doesn't mean anything earlier than 8am. Quote
techno Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 well the weather forecast for that wekend is shocking...good job i'll be pissed all weekend Quote
blakeatron Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I will be fitting a kitchen that day - so if the ride is cancelled you can come and hold some cupboards in place Quote
Guest Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 LOL, is that if your woods dry.... i'm waiting on my exhaust to come back from the stubby shop... Quote
The Jade Mongoose Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 Well I can't believe 2 people voted for the "Chuff off, it's november" option. How rude!Might have to cancel this one as it's quite possible we'll end up at the bottom of Windermere or get blown off the road. Not liking the weather at the moment. I have another plan...Bike shopping. Quote
Guest Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 with you there Matt, Ambleside still has problems, and the weather doesn't seem to be easing fast.. Bike Shopping........ see you later, coming in today... Quote
