Peach Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Hi AllHas anybody heard where you can get a 12v Socket (Cigarette Lighter) to connect to a bikes battery. It is to charge/use a camera battery whilst on the move Quote
Guest Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 yep, try ebay.look for the weatherproof ones, and fit it under the seat,..if its occasional use, then theres no need to fit a switch/relay.. just plug in http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=12v+ ... &_osacat=0if you get a bog standard one, then put it in a bag, to keep it dry, few people on here with them for satnavs etc.. Guest Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 yep, halfords, look for same as whats on ebay adverts. saves on postage.. Quote
Guest Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Camping and caravanning places stock them too. Also check out car boots. I picked mine up for £3. What I did with mine was ... because i use an optimate, I went to maplins and bought a bag of 12v power plugs. Cut off the optimate plugs to use these instead. Put same plug on the cigar socket, so it plugs into lead that would normally plug into optimate. Instant power straight off battery. I also got some croc clips with same plug on end.. Can be used to dispense power or accept power in the event of a flat battery and need a jump. All without removing the saddle etc.May be of some use to you! Quote

Yet to sort out the Tiger. Only picked it up earlier Quote
