Guest
I have a slight fault on my gsxr 1000. occasionally the fault code F1 comes on. The bike still runs ok. If i hit the kill switch it goes off for about 2 miles, then comes back on again. the bike will run at full power at all times. If i hit the kill switch again, it will go off & stay off for quite a while. Any ideas??
Stu
there should be a white plug under the rear seat (sometimes down the side of the fairing) with a rubber cap on it this is a dealer mode switch it has two wires running to it 'short them out with a bit of wire with the ignition off then put the ignition on and take a look at the lcd display the FI light should be on and there should be a fault code on the screen you can look up the fault codes on the net somewhere the code refers to what part of the bike is playing up usually its just a sensor that needs replacing Stu
