can't find a wiring diagram.

get hold of a bulb screwdriver, connect croc clip to frame and turn indys on at switch, then probe the connections to see if any light, make a note of direction and wire colour, and repeat, the one that doesn't light is earth, to confirm this remove croc from frame and clip to earth and retest, you should get the same reading.

if you have bare wires fit female blade connectors (insulated) as you can swap them about if they are wrong.

indys have 2 wires earth / positive, or one, positive and use the frame for earth

and you will have 3 for the rear light. brake/tail/earth.

remember to check that the indicators don't affect the headlamp when they flash, this is usually an earth fault.

I have ordered a new rear light assembly complete, as the wiring is not the best on the old unit and seems sensible to replace all at the same time , i also contacted a motorcycle repairer, who , has offered to assist me free of charge and i can repair on his worksite:) what a great guy... (getspeed). Newport gwent... :)
