skikman Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 hi my chrome rusts easy so i got some acf-50 spray.now do i take the rust off shine it up then spray of take rust off spray and then shine or what? Quote
JoshRS Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Take the rust of first, get your entire bike in a clean condition then spray it on. ACF50 is meant to keep rust from forming by creating a protective layer. I'm pretty sure it can't be used to remove actual rust hope this helps. Quote
Guest Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 ACF50 is pretty good gear.Clean bike, dry bike, remove rust, polish bike.Apply ACF50. Keep it away from the brakes. And note, you do not need a lot. It may be sensible to spray some in the lid and use a brush because you will waste loads otherwise.and yes, I do use it.(and moved to pitstop for ya ) Quote
JoshRS Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 You don't need too much Dan, one can can too about 2 bikes if you're lucky. You can either be frugle or wasteful Quote
Guest Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 And note, you do not need a lot. That'll be frugal then Quote

TC Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Just read a review on it ............"like WD40 on steroids" Quote
scrowe Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 another product worth using is scotoiler fs365 spray. it nutralizes salt and leaves a good barrier against dirt. it's water based so it dries on a hot engine but is easy to wash of. Quote
