Day of Champions - Donington Park MotoGP

DAY OF CHAMPIONS NEWS

Update from volunteer 'RfH' Fundraiser (Me!)

Riders for Health are pleased to announce that tickets for Day of Champions 2007 will go on sale at 9am on Monday 26 March.

This year’s Day of Champions takes place at Donington Park on Thursday 21 June.

As those of you who have been before will know, it is a unique event in the world of sport and an experience not to be missed! Once again, you will be able to see behind the scenes of MotoGP, check out the race bikes up close, and enjoy the fantastic entertainment taking place throughout the day – including performances from World Superbike star James Toseland and his band Crash.

And as ever, the climax to the day will be the famous live auction, with appearances from the MotoGP riders and other special guests.

There will also be the traditional ride-in from Coalville, led by racing legend Niall Mackenzie. The ride-in meets at the Victoria pub, where breakfast is included in the ticket price, and concludes with hundreds of bikers taking to the Donington tarmac for two parade laps of the famous track. All money raised at the event will directly support the work of Riders for Health – the official charity of MotoGP.

Every year 3 million people die in developing countries because of lack of access to treatment. Riders for Health ensures that African health workers have reliable vehicles that never break down, meaning they can reach even remote villages with the kind of regular, reliable health care the developed world takes for granted. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at Donington Park in June! Don’t forget to keep up to date with all the latest Day of Champions news in Motor Cycle News and on the Riders website. With very best wishes, The Riders Communications Team
