I have finished work today and noticed that there are black spots under the bike. checked with finger and its oil.

what should i do? should i get the bike serviced immediately?

i have dropped the bike once but its was about 3 weeks ago and until now it was fine

could be oil build up from oiling the chain, check sump plug see if oil coming from there and check for any sign of leaking oil on engine

has the bike been recently serviced...? if so could be oil from fiter thats sat on exhaust and is now dripping off.

insuffuicently tightened filter, or old seal left on when fitting new..

if not, then clean with degreaser/parafin and see if you can spot source.

I had a moment last week thought she was leaking oil.Turned out to be a build up of muck behind the cover on the front sprocket. After a chain clean and lube i must have eased up the crud in there. It had dripped round the filter and down to the tips of the breather tubes.
