gsxr 750 K&N air filter

Im thinking of putting a K&N air filter on my GSXR 750 K7 does anybody know if the bike will need re-mapping or will it be ok

I was looking to get a k&n for my sv650s "99" and even tho you can put it on without doing any tuning you will not get the full potential out of the filters ... from what i understand you should put the filters on and get the carbs tuned for the filters to get the full extra bhp and benefit...
