Aaron Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Hey. I need one. All the adds seem to say 3/8" or 1/2" etc. Is that refering to the actual wrench or the bit thats going to tighten my nuts etc? I assumed i'd buy a wrench and then could attach whatever size bit i needed to do the job? Thanks. Quote
Roadtorque Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 (edited) It's the square end the socket fits on, so will depend on what socket set you intend to use or have, if your thinking rear wheel then the 1/2" would be the one to go for due to the size of the nut, but if it's just general bike size nuts & bolts then the 3/8" should be more than ample, Edited August 3, 2010 by Roadtorque Quote
caretaker Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Have look at the set of sockets you intend to use and see if they all take a 3/8" or !/2" ratchet (ie. the square hole in the back of them) its so you buy the right wrench for the socket set you intend to use Quote
caretaker Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 Gotcha, thanks. Shame your not a little nearer I have one here that I could let you have..... Its not done much for a while Quote
Aaron Posted August 3, 2010 Author Posted August 3, 2010 To start with i'm gonna take my front calipers off to see if i can stop the squealing. But in the long run i'm expecting to have to do 20k+ miles each year to work and back soonish which will mean 5+ services a year. I think i'll forget about the warrenty and just change oil etc myself. So i think i'll end up building up a collection of tools as i start doing more and more bits and pieces. Thanks anyway. Quote
