Hi guys.

I bought a suzuki ay50 2 months ago

It was running fine for a little while untill i was only starting it up for 5 minutes each day as i didnt have time to ride.

It then cut out on me when riding then started back up fine,it was kind of like a surge of power gone.

It then did it again the next day but started back up fine again.

The next day it wouldnt start up at all and hasnt for a thew weeks

i have bought a new spark plug and will fit that and see if that works.

Im willing to give up to 50 pounds for help over the internet or if your close.

Please help im desperate to get on the road for work

Thanks

Where about in the country are you?

First off it's a 2 stroke, so you are using a decent quality 2 stroke oil?

If you haven't been using it much it could of got some dirt from the bottom of the tank into the carb, especially if it was almost empty?

When you say it stops, does it slowly die like it's running short of fuel or just stop as though it's been turned off?

It may of indeed ran low of petrol! and or oil as my gauge is broken!

I have defonitly got oil in there but not sure on quality

"When you fit the new plug make sure you have a good tight connection from the HT lead as well"

Try putting the new plug in and while your in the engine, look for the fuel pipe going from the tank to the carb, see if there is a filter, if so replace it as it could be blocked with sediment, I had this on a Honda once! If there's no filter just check the pipe hasn't got caught and squashed or kinked, restricting the fuel flow.

Let us know how you get on, good luck :thumb:
