Derbi Senda Baja 125 Starting Problem -Starter Solenoid?

Hi there,

I'm having a problem with my Derbi Senda Baja 125.

I think it's the starter solenoid - Sometimes it will start up but after a bit of trying it won't have it, I have made this video to explain my problem easier:

Although it doesnt start on the electric start up switch it does bump off - once it's bumped and it's warmed up it doesn't cut out and seems to run fine - although I don't like having to bump it off when i'm out and about and at work etc, also I put in a brand new spark plug which seems to have blackend very quickly, i'm not a mechanic or anything like that so sorry if any of this sounds a bit vague, hopefully the video will be of help?

Thanks

Sounds like a dodgy solenoid as that noise wasnt right for it to be low battery :?

Usually low battery is a rapid clicking sound but that was a buzz. I would swap out, or even better, to test. You see those nuts on top? Get a pair of pliers and make a connection across them. It should start, if it does the starter solenoid is bust.

I did this recently so I know it works
