alexanderfoti Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Hi allDue to me riding around with numpties on my commute, I have purchased a Nautilus Compact air horn. Now, Im looking for places to mount it, the front area where the horn is at the moment is a) a bad place due to water, spray etc b) doesnt have a spare mounting hole.I was thinking of mounting on the side of my top box , but then the sound wouldnt be directional Any ideas? Guest Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 What bike? Where the original horn was should be fine? Although IIRC might be too big to go there? You fitting a relay? Quote
alexanderfoti Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 Sorry, Varadero 125 2009I have had a go, but doesnt seem to fit in the old location. Yup relay is already wired and ready to go, just need to find a place for it Quote
hammer5 Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 If you get stuck finding a place to mount it, Halfrauds sell one for £14.99 thats just as loud and it simply replaces the existing horn (assuming its a single screw/bolt fitting).BB Quote

It make take some thinking, ive looked in to it before and people found some weird and wonderful places to put it... Quote
XmisterIS Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 I've got the Stebel Magnum.I took it to bits, liberally covered all the connecting edges with exterior sealant (the brown stuff from B&Q), bolted it all back together, and mounted it facing forwards underneath the headlamp. I've never had a problem with it yet, even though it faces into the rain. Quote
