Castle nut socket

Hi i am after a castle socket for a 14mm castle nut which i need to remove the clutch from my bike.

i have been told maindealers want £60 + for this tool. i have seen them on ebay for £15-£20 but still a lot of money for one socket

can anyone make these with a lathe from a old socket ? if so how much do you want for one ?

you mean something like this ?

 

 

 

i made mine out of an old socket and some square bar socket needs to be right on the inside edge on the of the locating pins and square bar needs to be a snug fit all welded up and works a treat

or you can cut away an old socket leaving four pins

if you havent got the know how or right equipment then buy one £20 aint a bad price
