RicKsTa Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Hey all,Seen as though my fairings are damaged from some muppet not long ago, i was thinking about getting them sprayed a different colour/s. If i was to change the colour, i know i would need to contact DVLA etc to get logbook changed, but would i need to contact insurance to notify them that its been modified? Does it class as a modification? Also is there anything else i would need to do other than the above?Cheers Rick Quote
Guest Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I'm not too sure, it won't class as a modification, you wont get any premium increase, but i'd tell them anyway. Cos, when you type in your reg number, it recognises the make, model, CC and colour - They'd be a bit concerned if your policy says its green, then when they collect it to repair, its pink. Quote
Martyc Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 If you go for fancy paint (flips, pearls, custom replica etc) it might affect the premium as it'd cost more to repair Quote
