BUT am i right in thinking,

No1....i passed my theory 48/50 but because i failed the hazard perception they turn my theory pass into a fail

No2....i cant have lessons on a bike (with a fully qualified instructor) with the intentions of taking my test but i can buy a 125 and ride it on the road on my own for the next 2 years.

No3....they say as i failed my hazard perception i cant go for my bike test but i can drive my car ,even though most of the theory and all of the hazard perception applied to driving a car.so how come they haven't banned me from driving my car ?.

i can under stand doing a test that is based on riding /maintaining bikes but if I'm qualified to drive a car what the hell am i having to do the theory / hazard perception for .i think that all experienced drivers just deal with hazards with out even thinking about it i have been driving for thirty years and I'm still here and i haven't killed anybody so i must be doing something right i just think its another rip off and if i have just proven that I'm unqualified to have lessons on a bike then i must be unqualified to drive my car .

rant over.

some of you may think I'm still a little pi55ed off but i have booked my next test so ill give it another go then they can stick it were the sun don't shine and ill get a 125 :booty:

Steve your proberly falling into the same trap as loads of people.

Hazards fall into 2 Categories basically

1) Developing Hazard

2) Actual Hazard

As a driver already, you see the hazard and recognise it as a hazard waaay before it will affect you. At this stage it is a 'Developing Hazard' DON'T CLICK (You'll be to early).

You need to click when its an Actual Hazard to you.

Best advice mate get a cd from Morrison's for about £8 and practice.

Don't forget you can click a few times during the 'developing' hazard so hopefully if you do see it before it's classed as a hazard, your next click will catch it. That is how I did it.

Also watch out for the hazards that are only a hazard because the damn driver of the car decides to do something totally stupid.

you need to pass the theory before you do the mod 1 and 2 not before you have lessons. Get one of the practice dvds or do some of the free online ones as there is a knack to getting the maximum score on each hazard.

and you need to practice it.

Yeah buy the dvd once you know how it's scored and what they are looking for you to click at, it's easy you'll nail it next time, best of luck :)

Some training schools prefer you to get the theory out of the way I think so then it's just a clear run at the mod 1 and 2. I know that's what the place I trained with wanted to do as they intend to get most people on the road within 3 day lessons and half a day's mod 1 training at the most.

Most of the hazzard clips are fairly obvious, an example if your on a country road in the clip and your aproaching a corner think, the DSA people will most probably have a car coming round the corner. Good luck with it next time and you should also get a disc if you don't have one.

Yeah again I suggest getting...

"DRIVING TEST SUCCESS" DVD

It works in your PC and trust me whether your doing car theory or bike theory that DVD is all you need.

It has all the official questions for 2011... and it has all 15 of the hazzard videos they use on the actual test and lets you practice like a real test (PS: I am not sure if the real test shows you 15 videos or just 5 of them, but I know they are all on that DVD, so you can do them 100x before you spend more money on a theory test).

I thought they couldn't have the real test videos?
