martlewis Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Just finished fitting a set of hot grips. Hopefully toasty warm hands tomorrow morning instead of the usual frost bite. Worth a try for a third of the price of Oxford ones. Quote
keith565 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 i got those fitted, mine are great, to the point i have to turn them down a bit otherwise my hands start to get toooo hot.lol Quote
cypek Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I've fitted R&G ones to my and my gf's bikes a few months back. £30 each and working great Quote
Ratser Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 At the bike show, saw these heated gloves or heated liners.Run on a battery and last up to 4 hours.Seemed pretty good, and I was tempted, but decided against it. Quote
bumble Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 mcn reviewed the r&g ones and said they were volcanic!i must invest in some, Quote
cypek Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Yeah, they are really hot. They have 5 levels of temp but I used 2nd when it was below 0deg and when it is a bit chilly I use 1st level and it even seems just a bit too worm So for this price I can really recommend them Quote
martlewis Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Can't rate the Dr Bike grips highly enough. For twenty five quid they are great. I've only needed to go to about half temp even when the bike was frosted over. Quote
Guest philgale Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 I burnt my hands with a set of those on the pudsey run, do get very hot...have oxford ones now and they are better Quote
