spykeeboi Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Hi guys i've just been looking at aldi bike gear i know its not the best you can get but what do folks think of it just to start off biking with. many thanksgaz Quote
R3pilot Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Its actually not bad I've used other "budget" stuff that was nowhere near as good- Lidls stuff is OK as well Although I was a bit dubious about the helmets Quote
cruz Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Simple rule of thumb if it will pass TuV testing, it will not be bad kit. Quote
megawatt Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Have had aldi socks before, just bought two pair. Underwear top feels good so far. Gonna look at lidl one as well. Quote
techno Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I bought a 2 piece rain suit from aldi a couple of years ago it was £7 am still using it today. Quote
Susieque Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I've had some things from Aldi & they seem alright. At the end of the day surely bike gear from Aldi, even if it isn't quite the superior strength of other stuff, has got to be better than riding in jeans, jacket & trainers! Quote
dwb Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 I wasn't impressed by their winter motorcycle gloves http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/5641/fingerlessgloves001.jpg Quote
Guest Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Good on you I started out with no helmet Lee cooper pale blue jeans and a leather coat from petticoat lane that turned my skin blue when it rained. You will be in luxury with that Lidl gear its good stuff. Quote
