Hi guys i've just been looking at aldi bike gear :oops: i know its not the best you can get but what do folks think of it just to start off biking with. many thanks

Its actually not bad I've used other "budget" stuff that was nowhere near as good- Lidls stuff is OK as well Although I was a bit dubious about the helmets :)

Have had aldi socks before, just bought two pair. Underwear top feels good so far. Gonna look at lidl one as well.

I've had some things from Aldi & they seem alright.


At the end of the day surely bike gear from Aldi, even if it isn't quite the superior strength of other stuff, has got to be better than riding in jeans, jacket & trainers!

I wasn't impressed by their winter motorcycle gloves

Good on you I started out with no helmet Lee cooper pale blue jeans and a leather coat from petticoat lane that turned my skin blue when it rained.

You will be in luxury with that Lidl gear its good stuff.

I have bought a pair of gloves, trousers and boots last year when I was starting to ride. I still have all that in perfect condition and I'm using it all the time. I wouldn't buy a helmet from them but other stuff I thing is good :thumb:

Thanks for all you very useful imput on this folks. I went tonite and tried it all on bit by bit and ended up buying boots, gloves, jacket, n trousers very comfortable and warm i will let you know how i get on with it when i use it all
