Danny-B- Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Exhaust started blowing last week, so today i had to investigate how bad ...http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o242/DannyB81666/Pipes.jpghttp://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o242/DannyB81666/Pipes2.jpgTheres a good few holes, dya think they can be welded? seem to be rusty as hell, but i dont have a decent wire brush to clean it all away first.I really hope they can be welded as i cant afford a new set of downpipes Ps .. If they can be welded, what can i coat the whole thing in to prevent it happening again? Will make it look better too i guess .. Quote
cruz Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Until you clean them up not too easy to tell, but, tbh they look shot to me. sorry Quote
sparkeh9 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 god damn they're rusty, Im sure you could get some from a breaker? Quote
Stu Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 get them cleaned up remove all the loose steel aroung the holes and go see a welder looking at the pics i wouldnt touch them with a welder but then its hard to see with pics start searching ebay for another set or sell your soul for a brand spanking new stainless set Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 got to agree there doesnt look like there is much good metal left there to weld to might be able to do it in big sections onto the original seams but will take some doing, think its time for replacement Quote
