hi guys. yes, i still hang about here... :)

i've managed to ding the radiator. pulled up at work and there's water coming out. not massive amounts, (considering i've never really checked the water level before) but certainly enough to worry about. suffice to say that i've now filled the coolant up with water.

now to fix it. i've already looked about and it's about 250 quid for a new one!!! the bikes hardly worth that much on a trade in!!! so that's not an option. i've no experience with radweld, so i don't know how long that will hold for.

anyone got any ideas for fixing / bodging this? bearing in mind i don't want to spend that much on it, and i've only got this weekend to do it....

Radweld will only work if the hole is very small.

You could try one of the metal puttys available. That should hold it for a while. What bike is it? Are there no 2nd hand ones around??

How big is the hole? If its not that big try some k-seal. Its like radweld but better + lasts longer

Rads might be hard to find at the right price.
