Come on you lot, you all want to look a certain way. Why have you chosen your helmet, and I am talking about the look you consider after the fit and safety tests.

If a helmet had 5 star safety and fitted perfectly, would you choose a plain one or one with graphics, and why?

I don't have a preference either way.

My helmet is a burnt orange caberg trip.

I wanted a flip front, the caberg trip was very comfortable and scored well on the sharp tests.

At the scottish bike show, I could pay £120 for a black or silver one, or £60 for a burnt orange one and I really like the orange colour, better than plain black or silver! The other one I looked at was the caberg V2R floral (because I liked the graphics), but they didn't have it in my size. Wasn't a flip front either.

I saw a cool one at the bike show this year, might also have been a caberg, it was matt white with COWBOYS on it! :D

AND the orange one goes well with my stick on tiger ears and tail :D

Dont really care either way!

iiisecondcreep's helmet is just so cool, but it is not for me. I went for plain silver as a ride a lot in the dark and wanted to stand out more.

I like gadgets, so top my list would be this Shark helemt with built in visor and the chin part swivles round so it can be used as a full face hemet.

I just ordered one of these

I thought it looked pretty good, it scored 4 Stars, and would stand out reasonably well in the dark (it was also cheap!). What do you think?

Have you tried one on?

I never buy a helmet online I only buy one i have tried on.

I had a box helmet once never again sorry it was the worst helmet ive owned.

I would never ride with anything but a full faced helmet!

I like the wind in my face, but the idea of scraping it along the tarmac put me off getting one. The Shark looks a good compromise as I would only wear it open faced for around town, low speeds.

Yes, of course I have tried one on. I have also seen favourable reviews for the Box, it is in the Top Ten under £100 on Motorcycle News.

Hopefully your experience was not of this model.

I initially wanted a plain black lid but when I tried a few on I really didn't like the look.

Ended up with the new style shark s900 in black and White.

There is a massive amount of choice so just see what takes your fancy mate.

Apart from the obvious fitting requirements, I chose mine cos I wanted something a bit feminine but not girlie pink etc...2062416860_mylid.jpg.35f18fcdf46aad3c9013cd9e993d30f2.jpg

Got the IS-16 as it fitted, liked the idea of the built in sun glasses bit and was pin-lock ready. Got it red as I like red :)

Slightly guilty of the look thing, but my last one I went for black and white to go with my one piece leathers. Personally I do like simple though, not too much pattern. And yes... I made damn sure it fitted well too.

I brought mine for the fit and the fact that you can inflate the cheeks to allow a better fit and comfort.

Having a plain black lid previously i wanted something with a design on, but nothing girly!
