olidavey Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 By angled start do you mean from behind a parked car?If so this is how I did it today,Check mirrorsWatch right mirrorWhen clear, lifesaverIndicateglance back and pull awayAccelerate hard, you dont want to cause another road user to slow down as its a automatic fail. Katie Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 You don't need to indicate if there is no other traffic around Quote
iiisecondcreep Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 You don't need to indicate if there is no other traffic around I was told the examiner counts as other traffic therefore on your test you must indicate. Quote
sparkeh9 Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 You don't need to indicate if there is no other traffic around Since when? can you guarantee there isn't a car coming around a bend? I'd indicate even if I was the only person around for miles tbh Quote

TC Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I dont indicate if noone else is around. But classing the examiner as another road user i'd deffinately use them on your test, or if your in any doubt.Don't forget to turn them off as well Quote
techno Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I would deffo indicate on a test, but usually I dont indicate much at all, generally if I feel someone may benefit from it. Quote

"Only indicate if someone would benefit from it" Quote
Comrade Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 still rather just flick that lil black button to show the examiner who is essentially behind you your intentions. Certainly not gonna risk it on such a small thing Quote

Bogof Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 sooo back to the original question Didn't the links I posted give you enough? Quote
Comrade Posted July 27, 2011 Author Posted July 27, 2011 No, they told me what to expect but not how to do the angled start the way examiner wants to see Quote
