shakeyshane Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 Just got my bike back.its had new plug tank air blasted out carb cleaned ect.wen its idle the rpm is 1000 or under and it dont sound right wen ticking over. Rides fine until i get it into 1st and try and pull away again it cuts out or bogs down isnt the rpm ment to be 2000 idle Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Remember...this bike won't develop a lot of power low down.....so (in true 2-stroke style) you've gotta rev it to get it to shift..... Cylinder is cold, If too much fuel air mix enters it condenses and wets the plug inhibiting the spark, so no bang and engine stops. Setting off on a small 2stroke is a bit of an art. Increase revs, let clutch bite, but not fully in, slip clutch keeping revs up with throttle. Let clutch in when moving. Practice makes perfect.
